Super cool Cait! You don't by chance has the year that every trade, purchase happened too do you? It would be neat to see how long this adventure to NGG took you.

As for me, I installed a brand new GI OCD board by Herg into my White Water today. I also replaced some LEDs under the PF that had never been changed from incandescent. I now have bright greens, and bright reds. Oh, and I finally figured out the best LED colour for underneath orange PF inserts - PINK. Yes, pink. I read on Pinside about someone using pink. I've tried warm white, sunlight, cool white, orange, yellow but all of them either washed out the orange colour or just didn't light up the insert enough. So on my last Comet order I took the chance and bought pink. I didn't think it was going to work, but it DID! My orange inserts looks beautiful and bright. The best part is they are still orange and the colour is just as vibrant as if an incandescent was underneath it.

So for anyone that has ever had problems getting orange to look right, try PINK LEDs. I used the cheapest 1SMD 5050 Pink LEDs from Comet. They work great. Now to figure out how the hell this GI OCD board works. Ha!

I replaced the meteor pop bumper bulb in the Meteor I've got downstairs with a flame LED.

If you're not familiar with the flame LED, it's a flasher with four lights that cycle through red, orange and yellow so it looks like a flickering flame. I think it works well with the theme of this machine (which is already converted to LED)...especially because that pop bumper is positioned as if it's the head of a flaming meteor!

Here's a video to give you an idea of how it looks, although it doesn't really do it justice:
"What's romano?"
"It's a cheese."
"And why do I care about it?"
- Best exchange I ever heard at Carrabba's

I bet it would be cool in the rocket flame portions of the backglass as well.

Thanks folks.

I am determined to let the original artwork shine. Even if its scratched and worn its still far better than gloss black paint, The old pin should be able to show its scars. Thats its history IMO.

What did I do today in the hobby? I'm preparing and organizing Canada PinCon.

Xylog and I are bringing 2 roller game type pinball machines to the women's roller derby in Montreal tomorrow. Pulling those out of the houses tonight. We are cross promoting our two events. There will be a fantastic group of derby girls floating around our complex.

I need to use my back door for obvious reasons. :| :FP:

Thanks to you both, and I think we should expect to all enjoy this at The House Of Targ at some point over the summer. :)
If anyone is heading from tdot to PinCon in June, got any room for this? Would make an amazing addition to that Hawkesbury lineup!

Did some maintenance on the Metallica Pro at the office.
Replaced 15(!) gi bulbs, soldered a broken lamp wire, replaced a metal post that broke in half, replaced slingshot rubbers and many miniposts rubbers.
Once cleaned and tuned, i'm still amazed at how well the machine looks, even after that many games played.
