Flipper Opto Orientation

Postby Hammerhead » Mon Dec 23, 2013 1:22 am

So I've finally found the source of the credit dot on my Road Show - one of the flipper optos is missing.

So getting a new one isn't an issue but installing it may be. I understand there is only one way these go in, but not sure how they're marked for orientation. The board has the letters A, E, K and C at each of the four corners where the opto goes.

Anysuggestions on how opto orientation goes?

Actually, these optos are higher (longer) than most, and are hard to find. The one off your board was likely borrowed because of this of the upper right I'm guessing.

Yep, upper right. Not a big deal I suppose.

You want to fix it though, to eliminate the credit dot. That arakisun guy in the parts for sale thread likely has some. I just did an order with Mark for some stuff, you're a few days late, he likely would have thrown in a used opto for free. I'm not sure if anyone stocks these, but try him, as he has decent shipping for stuff, and he may have some hard to find stuff you're looking for as well.
