???? back at you. I've seen quite a few and they all looked awesome. Quite surprised you have had to re-clear any. I would be seriously pissed if I spent $600 or so on a reproduction playfield and it needed extra clear.

17 CPR clearcoats and counting.

I just came from CPR this weekend, and saw what they call a "second" on a new Flash Gordon pf. There was a little mis-registering on some of the text throughout the pf but the clear was perfect. So were the four playfields I've had here in my little shop. The only issues i've heard recently with their clearcoats was the Firepower run where the clear seemed to pull away from some of the inserts leaving a crack. To my knowledge they made good with all those shipped playfields. What are the issues you're finding that you need to reclear them?

Warped playfields causing clear to crack, dust trapped in the clear, minor fisheyes, inserts popping out, 2nds with no clearcoat on them (for a reason... silkscreened over wood mask... clearcoat pulls the paint off).

It happens. It is not a shot towards CPR. In fact, I am positive that their quality level is far superior as to what was ever produced. Nevertheless, problems happen.

oh I see. I know that right now they are having quality issues with the wood they have received. I think they are trying to source a new supplier, but it's not going easily. I hope they can get it ironed out.
For the record, my Centaur pf has dimpled quite a bit more than I expected, and that's with a full 9 month cure. Hope it evens out eventually.
