Re: Gun Range : shooter cabinet
Nice job-what's the plan for software/gun hardware on this? I've always meant to add light guns to my MAME setup, but never gotten around to it. I have an old one that never seemed to work right, and gun game support in MAME always seemed kind of crappy. Have things gotten any better?

Re: Any other Star Wars Lego collectors?
Those modulars are definitely addictive-I bought all the available ones this year, so I'm just missing the two out pf print ones. Nothing really inpsiring on the star wars front since the UCS B-Wing though-the sail barge was a maybe, but the newest stuff seems to all be clone wars. If you don't have...

Hmm, let's see-Alien Invasion and Mystery spot on TSPP are both awesome. The reverse flippers are crazy to play with, and trying to lock balls in invasion is just a really cool idea. Neon Multiball on CV is also really awesome when it comes up, especially in a dark room.

Looks like a neat system for moving a game, and I like things like the leg bag, but not for $350. You can buy a lot of carboard and shrink wrap for that much cash.

Gravity pulls shit down, not sure if having things potentially fall down onto a board that has your coil drivers on it would be my first choice. My thought as well. Vibration breaks a wire loose, falls on the driver board and shorts something? That could be fun... Seems like a lot of risk to save s...

Re: What Do You Think of WoZ?
Really looking forward to trying this out with some actual code to it, but I'm still skeptical based on what I played when it was out at Starburst. It just didn't feel like a fun game, and I actually liked playing the Avengers that was next to it more. Time will tell though-lots of games that made a...

Re: Update on America's Most Haunted pin
I really haven't been keeping up with this project, but it's great to see the progress. What's going to be really cool is to see how it progresses as an open source project-there could be some neat game remixes with new rules, callouts etc. Of course, it's all going to go horribly wrong at some poin...

I only checked in on this a couple of times through the day-I saw that Daniele was in at the beginning, and then still in the running after 12 rounds or so, and he ended up winning the whole thing? Wow, that's a LOT of pinball... It's one thing to come in and win one or two rounds, but it's another ...

Re: Special Pinball "Medieval Madness P2K pro"
Looking good-with the castle on top like that though, are you designing a new mechanism to remove the playfield and get underneath it? I'm assuming you're planing on mounting any boards you need in the bottom of the cabinet, so you could probably rig something up where you pull the whole thing out t...

Re: Opinions / comments on Champion Pub
It's neat, and I like playing it when it's around, but it gets old fast. It seems like more of a gimmick than anything else. The jump rope and speed bag are neat ideas, and work for what they are, but they get used for their respective modes and that's it. 2 video modes? Not great. The main "go...

Looking good-I was wondering what you were going to do with those ramp pieces-wooden ramps would probably wear very quickly. Using those parts as housings for custom metal ramps is a great idea, and metal ramps are probably much easier to make yourself than plastic ones.

You could always buy one and have a spare DMD around in case another one breaks, right?Damn! I wish my STTNG DMD was going out... but $400 (for me) is an expensive Mod. Not that I watch the DMD while I am playing (doing so usually results in mw sewering).

Re: Holy crap is Road show good!!
It's a good game that I'd like to get some more time in on. Only complaint that I'd have (from what I've played) is that it's linear-modes play in order every time. It's still on the list of games I'd like to own someday, but given that I already have TZ and NGG, too much Lawlor?

Re: TSPP gets better with time...
I've been playing mine more recently than I have in the past few months, and it's a great game to come back to. Still not getting anywhere near my old scores on it for some reason-just out of practice I guess. One of those games where the answer to "can you stack X and Y" is probably "...

Re: Any other Star Wars Lego collectors?
Ah, I knew that the first one was gone, but I forgot about the second one-I'd seen the remaining 4 available though, which is what made me think of it. $1000 for the set though-isn't it mostly standard parts? I noticed that they started putting their instructions online, so has anyone tried to just ...

Re: Any other Star Wars Lego collectors?
I've been seriously tempted to pick up all of those modular building sets-my wife thinks they're cool, and I think you can still get most of them at sticker price. Real problem is that we're running out of space to put them (although I'm sure it'd just be a matter of defining some more room). I shou...

Re: Avengers LE - Hulk or Blue - Which one did you choose?
I have played the pro and the Hulk, there is no comparison! Do you really find that there's that much of a difference between the two? I got to play a Hulk the other day, and I was actually kind of surprised that the difference between the pro and LE was so small. Other than the ramp diverter at th...

I like the look of the stonework on there, but it looks like the flipper buttons are recessed pretty considerably. Do you think that would be a problem, or is the game still playable like that? Looks like some amazing progress, and I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with it next!

Re: How often do You play?
Not as often as I might like. Most days I'll get at least one game in, and some days more, but it all depends on what else is going on. Definitely not all games all the time though-I'll tend to fixate on one game for a while. Lately, it's been X-Men and Twilight Zone (again), which means that I have...

the SB policy works for both the Montreal and Toronto stores? Yes, I've gotten a few parts this way, and the toronto guys have been great. The last couple of times I've emailed them about parts I've actually ended up just doing a bigger order myself (since there's always more stuff that I need...),...

Re: Quick Question... Front Ends...
Hyperspin is probably the flashiest front end out there, but I find it really slow to navigate. Might be some tricks I don't know about, but I don't think there's a way to search or page through games. I use mamewah myself-it doesn't look like it's been updated in a long while, but it's fast, low ov...
