Re: Summer Pinball Bash - Friday July 13th

Thanks Lee. Everytime I see your collection it keeps getting better and better. Love that Catacomb!

Glad nothing came up so I could actually attend - pretty rare that I am in town on a weekend and have a free evening these days.

Cheers and have a great summer.

Re: Canada PinCon Closing Statement 2018

Great show Chris. Had a good time seeing the usual pinheads and chewing the fat. I really hope the show was a success from your persepective because the work you put in to pull it off is pretty intense. Your wife definitely deserves a special thanks from all of us. Hope to see you all next year - I ...

Yes, I could also use 4 Williams pop-bumper spoons and some (4) stern playfield magnet core plugs (530-5320-00).

Re: Iron Maiden pics!!!

Played it in AllenTown as well and I loved the game play. It is beautiful, great sound, nice animations but as others have said the ball times are long. Pretty much everyone (first games) were putting in long games (no Iron Man that is for sure). Not sure how easy it will be to make it easier (by op...

Re: FREE: 32 in. Panasonic Tau CRT flat screen TV

Sylvain,

you may want to check to see if the Salvation Army will accept it first. I know when I tried to donate mine (34" Flat screen Tube) - I couldn't find any charitable organization that would take it. You can't give CRT's away now - although I did manage to give mine away to my niece.

Yes Bugs Bunny is the worst followed by Stern IJ. I would agree with Hercules but that really is just a novelty item and I don't count anything that wouldn't fit in my basement.

I loved that show as a kid. A little off topic but can everyone remember the "Made in Japan Crap" from the seventies? Datsun anyone? Oh and then there was Hyundai (Korea) - everyone laughed. My how times changed quickly for those companies. Remember Chrysler from the 80's? - Made in North ...

Re: OT: Racing Wheels

Thanks Az. The lack of time is the reason that I don't want to invest too much money on more expensive options. I am sure that after six months the wheel won't get used but it at least would have a chance to get used more if it had a wheel stand that could easily move out of the way. I noticed that ...

OT: Racing Wheels

Hi guys, so I decided to buy my son and I a Logitec G920 racing wheel for the XBOX One over Christmas and right now we have it temporarily bolted to a table-bench in front of a chair. We are enjoying Forza 7! So now I am investigating a wheel-stand. I need something that doesn't take up to much room...

Re: Battery Removal & Fix

Simplest solution - just buy the new energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries. They don't leak, have a guaranteed shelf life of 20 years and are cheap ($18.00+tx for 12 at WalMart). Then you can check em every 5 years.

Re: STTNG - need board repair tech advice

You can always try reseating the ROMs as well. I have experienced a few weird bits of behavior over the years that has been resolved by reseating the ROMs. Something easy to try before digging too deep.

Someday I hope to get back into being able to participate in this. I actually had time (last night) to enjoy a beer and play a few games in my own collection. It was nice. Seems the only time I get to play much these days is when I go to AllenTown. I seriously don't think I have played a 100 games o...

Don't we need this done? Too many people/businesses use PayPal to avoid paying taxes so what choice do they hav...

Interesting points Phil - especially because I am tempted to get rid of my STTNG (which I quite like) and replace it with an IJ. I have had STTNG for more than 7 years now.

Re: WTB: Williams Indiana Jones - non-CQ, non-restored

All these years on MAACA has taught me that Mrhide does not like Williams IJ. However, I am interested as to why you feel this way. What is it about this game that makes you think that it is only a $1500 game when it comes to the FUN factor? I quite like the game (most do) but I confess I don't own ...

Re: Fed up with Stern

How come everyone complains about the price of Stern pinballs but no one complains about the price of JJP pinballs? You get what you pay for, but if you can't afford it, you get nothing. I think the reason that more people complain about the cost of a Stern is because from a Quality perspective Ste...
