Re: FS: Xmen Pro HUO

Thanks Duane. I am never sure I want to sell but as you pointed out it is easier if you have your mind set on something. I don’t at this point. Although I think an Oktoberfest would be my next buy if I was to start looking. I find it tough to change things up when I am so happy with my current colle...

Re: FS: Xmen Pro HUO

I always have initial regrets but they disappear quickly. The only game I still regret a little is Scared Stiff. It was simple but always a hoot to play.

Re: FS: Xmen Pro HUO

Well wouldn't you know it. Had a few games last night and I actually made it to Danger Room and did well in it. Only the 3rd time I've ever done that. I was also only 1 shot (scoop) away from starting Hellfire Club (Villain) multi-ball which was the final Villain that I needed to beat in order to ge...

FS: Xmen Pro HUO

- HUO (mint). See pictures. - Price: $6,800 - Plays 100% perfect. - Manufacture Date: August 2012 - 2nd owner. Owned since April 2016 - It had about 3k plays when I got it. - 600 plays since the last code update (so in approx the last 5 years). - So my estimate is that it has about 4k plays on it in...

It was on my bucket list to attend based upon the reviews from MAACA members who have been there. Was actually going to make it happen this year but we all know how this year turned out.

Re: JJP Guns n Roses Not In This Lifetime

Getting back to the multiball. I agree that other games have lots of multiball’s but this one has them tied into the modes. It seems like you can start a multi ball in almost every mode and is tied into the design. Keefer is going to have to limit it a bit with the rules (not quite sure how but I am...

Re: JJP Guns n Roses Not In This Lifetime

Looks great. Still not sold on the gameplay due to the multi ball overload. Multi ball too often just kills any sort of flow and you need some flow in this game. Hopefully the code will reduce the multi ball usage.

Re: Never say never... jukebox inside

It really does look fantastic. Really nice work. What is the storey behind how you acquired it? Were you actively looking for this model or did it just fall in your lap? Did you find it locally?

Looking forward to a video audio once it is all working!

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

Woohoo. Finally got my TFTC back up and running. For those that can remember the last OPL at my place in February (wow was it that long ago since the last OPL) - damned COVID-19 ... 3 of my 11 pins went down. Tough crowd! No seriously 2 were simple 5 minute fixes (TZ was a stuck switch and XMen was ...

Re: Pinballers Presents: “Craig's Covid Slap Fest" - August 25th to 30th

Looks like a fun event. I was camping in Algonquin park for almost a week and just got back. No pinball (no cell service so no screens of any kind) but I had a real fire without the fire department. Gonna smell wood smoke for weeks.

Thanks for keeping the scene alive everyone!

Re: Still looking: TRON

I am not sure if they go for $10k but certainly nothing under $8.5k (maybe $9k) for a nice HUO. However, once you start hitting above $9k a lot of machines can sit there for a while (few weeks+) before a buyer is found (but you will probably find one). Mods make all the difference on this pin. A lot...

Try putting the post with the rubbers in boiling water and they should slip off with much less effort Then try the same process to help the new rubbers slip on. Wait until the water is boiling before putting the posts in the pot. Should only need a few seconds in the water. Use tongs and gloves as I...

Re: Pet peeve on classifieds, kijiji and whatever... advice

Part of the issue is that with the border closure there is less access to the US pins so Canadian markets are more localized which lowers supply. Although with COVID-19 you would think demand might have shrunk too but it has not. I do notice that many of the higher valued pins are taking longer to s...

Re: Bally transporter discussion, and thread hijacking

I don’t object to anyone’s price, however, when forum members appear to be inappropriately presenting a pin in a sale add then I believe the community is obliged to chime in. I’m sorry but using the term HUO has a certain connotation and this pin certainly wasn’t it. Not sure whether the misrepresen...
