Re: Shop Log: 1984 Williams Space Shuttle

Try putting the post with the rubbers in boiling water and they should slip off with much less effort Then try the same process to help the new rubbers slip on. Wait until the water is boiling before putting the posts in the pot. Should only need a few seconds in the water. Use tongs and gloves as I...

Hope u get it. If you do the first thing u need is an external subwoofer. That game has a great soundtrack and the sub puts it over the top.

Re: Pet peeve on classifieds, kijiji and whatever... advice

Part of the issue is that with the border closure there is less access to the US pins so Canadian markets are more localized which lowers supply. Although with COVID-19 you would think demand might have shrunk too but it has not. I do notice that many of the higher valued pins are taking longer to s...

Re: Bally transporter discussion, and thread hijacking

I don’t object to anyone’s price, however, when forum members appear to be inappropriately presenting a pin in a sale add then I believe the community is obliged to chime in. I’m sorry but using the term HUO has a certain connotation and this pin certainly wasn’t it. Not sure whether the misrepresen...

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

I replaced all the back-box locks in my 11 pins to have the same key. I bought the locks about 6 years ago and just never got around to doing it. Boy the newer Sterns with metal backbox (wooden sides) are a pain in the ass. It was so simple on the original style. But I guess the new ones are certain...

So when are you scheduled to get yours Mike? Damn, jealous ... with all this physical distancing it will be a while before I get to play it. You'll have to post a video.

Re: Polishing used pinballs.

I agree with others. My experience with tumbling balls is that it is wasted effort. You can only do a few at a time and it takes forever to see much of a result and it doesn’t last long. Just buy new, however, some balls are better than others. I like the silver jet balls from Marco (usually buy in ...

repinning connectors - question

Hi folks, figured with all this time on my hands I would try my hand at repinning some connectors. I would like to put an order in with digikey but I don't know what I should order. I would like to order some female crimp connectors for 0.156 and 0.100. Does anyone know which ones I should order? Th...

For those that are coming, there is lots of parking at the School (D. Roy Kennedy) about a block from my place if you don't want to park on the street.

Cheers and see everyone soon.

is it an original pinsound or pinsoundplus board? I have an IJ with an original pinsound board? If you post pictures of the boards I can compare with mine. As Mike suggested I would start with ribbon cables. If u are lucky that is the issue as opposed to the MPU board. Many years ago my STTNG did so...

Congrats Lee. The new owner is getting a nice game!

No dimpling, no playfield art chips and no bad node boards. They don't make em like they used to.

Thanks again Duane and everyone else on the organizing committee! Had a blast. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone. Duane, thanks for making me miss my Roadshow. ;-) You should try the new code (check pinside) that gets rid of the linear map progression. That was the only reason that ...
