Re: What did you do today in the hobby?
I wasn't getting the 7th flash on my Fireball Classic. Did some reading and tried a few things. I replaced R113 on the MPU today, and yay, success! I haven't been playing my old Ballys lately, and it seems the longer they sit, the more they break down lol!

Re: Early Bally Ceramic Capacitors
Thanks guys! I went the DigiKey route and the shipping was lightning fast! I also needed a bunch of other small items like switch diodes and fuses to get my new Viking up and running. Happy to say Viking is 100% working now, and 100% more fun than I thought it would be! Well 99.9% working, there's a...

Re: Early Bally Ceramic Capacitors
Is there a Canadian source for the 0.05uf ceramic disc capacitors used on early Bally switches? I've searched Digi Key but can't seem to find them. Thanks. 47's will do instead of 50's That's cool, do you know if there's a Canadian source? I'd hate to pay stupid cross border shipping for $0.50 part...

Re: Price Check: Fireball II, Paragon
Thanks DrDude for your replies in an obviously "touchy" subject, (150 some views/5 replies), hahaha! I have also reached out privately to a big Bally collector and I think I have the numbers I need to proceed with an offer. I'm sure I'm too low, but whatever, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Re: Price Check: Fireball II, Paragon
Actually, as I stated above, I might be buying, not selling. I already know this fellow is probably upside down in the prices he has paid for these games so I'm trying to make him a fair offer without insulting. I actually already own some of the best early Bally SS games, (Centaur, Fathom, EBD etc)...

Price Check: Fireball II, Paragon
Hi all,
Looking for fair market prices for Fireball II and Paragon. Both games are in very nice condition, and the FBII has a NOS playfield installed.
Thanks
Pete

Re: What is your definition of "Restored"?
That type of mini post looks like the wood screw version, not a machine screw, so no nut on the backside. I could be wrong, but I've seen a lot of them. I would replace it with a machine screw version and a washer on top to prevent any further leaning. It is the machine-screw threaded-version alrea...

You helped me a lot over the years Bruno, and you will be missed greatly by myself and the community. I hope you find the interest again in the future, but take your time and enjoy whatever else you like to do.

Re: Pinball Today
I know the feeling. As far as I know, I'm the only one in this small town who has any pinball games. The nearest "foreign" games to play are at least two hours away from me! When I lived in Halifax there were quite a few collectors around, so playing other people's collections was easy

WTB Hight Speed Cabinet
Looking for a High Speed Cabinet, complete or not. Are there any other System 11's that use the same cabinet from that era? If so I'd be interested in those as well.
Thanks

Re: What's it worth? Bally Viking
Well it's not a game that was on my radar, but I saw one this weekend that was in pretty sweet condition. I think the guy might have paid a premium for it though and would want to recoup all or more than that. I was just checking to see if the game is a good player like, for example, the underrated ...

What's it worth? Bally Viking
Just curious about what one of these goes for these days. I've never played one, but it looks fun for it's time, with an in-line drop target bank and a two way kickout saucer. Artwork looks great, and the games condition is an 8.5 all around.
Thanks.
Thanks.
