Thanks! Sticking to the original backglass - it just says it all! :)Ordered NOS from Mayfair Amusements. This is only my second Gottlieb machine (Roller Disco being the first, many moons ago), so I'm learning a whole new thing. Happy little surprises whilst working on it - had to change the drop tar...

Latest Acquisition - Genesis
Happy to find a spot for this title, I've always loved the theme Genesis has. Great sound, lots to do. Quick shop log - new drop targets, new flipper superbands, new legs. New translite on its way. Soon to have new ramps. Used my Arts & Crafts skill to fabricate a fresh underplayfield lab cardboard ...

Re: Playfield Protectors
Finally finished installing the protector on Rollergames. It needed a hole drilled for the magnet. Made a nice hole with the dremmel - will make adjustments as the protector settles.
Plays beautifully. OMG. I can't even...

Re: How do I take an EM lockbar receiver apart
I don't know how to take apart that brand of lockbar- only bally's & williams.
I use a large wheel on the grinder. I find the dremels fall apart way too fast.

For receivers I start with a brass wirewheel. If the rust/crud is stubborn I switch to steelwheel.

Steel wool. I buff all metals with it. For stubborn dirt/rust I use a brass wirewheel.

Re: Playfield Protectors
I Figure if I cut the hole just slightly bigger than the magnet & raise the magnet up to cover the thickness of the protector I shouldn't have hanging issues. That's the dream Also, for your issue - I think I read on the HardTops thread that you should pop the rollover insert & re-seat it slightly h...

Badcats installation complete. All of my beloved Sys11's are now protected! BC was not a flawless install as the others were - the protector was *not* cut correctly for the machine. Luckily I have a pair of very good scissors & rectified the errors. Have e-mailed Germany so that they are aware. Also...
