Re: Stern Spike 2 lifetime total plays, watchout
Anyone that uses play counts as a basis for wear and value is not very smart anyway. Play counts can be easily tampered with even on a Stern Spike 2 or 3. There are many ways but for example if you swap CPUs the play count will not be accurate either. Agreed, but in that particular case seller is ...

Stern Spike 2 lifetime total plays, watchout
I always thought all Spike 2 lifetime total play count was accurate but it is not the case. Iron Maiden for example: V1.06.0 - January 9, 2019 - Added LIFETIME count to Standard Audit #16 "Total Plays" So a machine that was manufactured past January 2019 should have had lifetime count installed from ...

So is that it? Lighter fluid?
I'll get a bottle and try it out. How much do you use on your cloth, do you soak it or just use a little?

What do you use to clean your modern pinball machines?
I am running out of Novus and was wondering what else people are using these days?
I used to buy EM plastic scratch remover at Rona, which is essentially Novus 2.

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?
Fixed a switch in Lightning's ball trough yesterday.
While the glass was off I gave it a well-deserved cleaning.
Checked the audits: 686 games played since I updated the software.
Clean and ready to rock for another 600!

Re: Pokémon Pinball Game Trailer
I have watched gameplay videos of this yesterday and I don’t get the hype other than the fact it is Pokémon.
Shoot the same shots 150 times to catch them all and get a different static jpg shown on screen. I assume the software has a very long way to go but still not very exciting.

How to make a reasonable offer below the asking price?
Calling all sellers here, I am curious about this. I have been interested in a few games in the last months but most of the time they are priced higher than I would be willing to pay, even though I feel that I would be ready to pay fair market price for them. Often the ads would mention the famous ...

Re: Pinball must-have mods
Thanks for your detailed explanations Mike, makes a lot of sense.
It is exactly what I was understanding it is, it's not an 'out of the box' product that you can just put in your game, you have to be ready to put the needed effort in order to make it good.

Re: Pinball must-have mods
I saw a few gameplay videos with Pinsounds but was not convinced?
It's like you have to do it all yourself or rely on someone that did it properly, unless I do not understand how it works?
Or are you mostly just enhancing the quality of the original stuff with it ?

Pinball must-have mods
What are you must-have mods whenever you buy a new machine? Is there any that you don't like or do not value as much as others? Personally, the mods I will consider to have an impact on the value of a game are: Shaker motor Art blades or mirror blades Insider Connect (mostly for early Spike 2 games ...
