Re: LF: Transformer 122-125 for late 70s Bally game

Not very good board work. :)

What board are you looking for ? I might even have one.

If not, what $$ would you be asking ??

LF: Transformer 122-125 ***FOUND*** Thanks Bruce!

With any luck, I will be finishing my Mystic refurb shortly and can begin piecing together a Bally Supersonic.

One thing I am missing is a transformer. If you have one you can part with, please let me know.

Cash or trade for something you need.

Thanks

Re: Rectifier TP5 reading way too high

Okay, thank you Toeckeder and Sylvain. At some point in my flurry of various attempts, I have definitely had J1 and J3 disconnected, but that may have been before I fixed some other voltage issues and now I am just obsessing over the TP5. Part of the problem is I have always been limited in the amou...

Re: Rectifier TP5 reading way too high

Well, I went back to the KISS machine, disconnected the sound board and unfortunately there is still 63V at TP5. Just for kicks, I threw in an entire transformer/rectifier assembly and still had 60V at TP5. So that should eliminate the problem being either the transformer or rectifier. If the sound ...

Re: Rectifier TP5 reading way too high

I “feel” like I have tried that, but I’ve been there 3 or 4 times and have started to lose track. But that is a good tip and something I will make sure I do when I go back this week.

Thanks

Rectifier TP5 reading way too high

An old client is asking me to troubleshoot their KISS machine. Has repro boards in it but not booting up. All rectifier voltages are good EXCEPT tp5 which is a whopping 63v Instead of the usual 43v. I have checked the bridge rectifiers. Any idea what could be causing such a high tp5 voltage? Thanks.

Re: 3x Fathom

I think time plays tricks on our memory as we get older. I got into this hobby around 10 years ago, and since then I have owned 2 1/2 Fathoms. Bought the first one, fully working, for around $900. Second one wasn't much more. When I sold them, I got somewhere around $2500, and that was after doing w...

Brampton to Halifax available ~ leaving July 4 or 5

Heading out to Halifax from Brampton middle of next week. Space is available for delivery or a machine, backglass, playfield, or whatever.

Could possibly arrange for a pick up and delivery anywhere along the way. 8-)

WTB ~ Skateball Backglass and -35 MPU

Looking for a used but nice Skateball bg. Know CPR has them but don't want to spend that much...yet.

Also looking for a nice -35 MPU, meaning that it is at least semi-reliable and isn't all nasty.

Thanks.

Re: Trade Dolly Parton Playfield for 8-ball pf can bring to Church Saturday

Hey Amona.

I have an Eight Ball pf that is almost fully populated. I do not need a Dolly pf so would be looking to sell this instead. If you are still interested, then I can send you some pics so you can get a better idea of its condition.

Cheers.

WTB: Small EK plastic

Looking for the smallest of the EK plastics that lives up near the top left of the playfield. Only about 2 inches long next to the left spinner. Would actually prefer the original one since all my other plastics are original, however, if you happen to have a new one, that'll do too. Let me know if y...

After reading your response above I have this to offer. Holy crap ! Glenn, I get the vibe that very few people here on MAACA care for what you think, except maybe for Brock. Re: Buy and Sell ethics

If the buyer didn't leave you a deposit because you didn't ask for it, and in an email you state that it's OK, then the sale is still pending, and his flipping tactic, while not very ethical, remains on the legal side. Yes a good point. But other emails can certainly take precedence over those init...

This is what I do. There is no deal that is done until there is AT LEAST a deposit. I make it clear the deposit is mine, regardless. Why back in the 80s and 90s did people set up arcades in their barns ?

Were farmers playing a few games between milkings ?
