Re: Hawkesbury Flea Fair 2019 - Official Thread

what about having a "giveaway" table where we can all bring our old parts and tools we don't want/need any more and just want them to go to someone who might use them? We could all just empty out the surplus in our workshops that we don't want to even bother selling, but just want it to h...

Re: THE MAACA DAILY NEWS! Your daily read about YOU,the members!

Interesting. I just introduced my 14 year old son to that song and band yesterday. Still deliberating if that was good parenting or not. Someone is going to have to fight for their future, and this time around it ain't going to be the senior citizens, they lie mostly in wait. Change mostly always c...

Re: THE MAACA DAILY NEWS! Your daily read about YOU,the members!

I hit the big 5-0 last month. Sports injuries keep piling up. Feeling old. Everybody around me says I should quit hockey. However I am still in the military and in their infinite wisdom, a 50 year old office worker has to pass the same annual fitness test as a 20 year old soldier. Hockey is the onl...

Re: THE MAACA DAILY NEWS! Your daily read about YOU,the members!

Watched "Dead Poet's Society" with my 15 year-old son yesterday. He had seen the play at school and it obviously had "spoke" to him on some level because he asked me if I had heard of it. I said that this story was also treated in a movie, so he was gung ho about watching it with...

For any of you film, video clip, tv commercial and/or movie buffs who love coin operated games and have about 12 hours on your hands, there is an amazing compilation of the aforementioned formats at the North Star. This "super cut" is composed of an incredible variety of scenes which have ...

Re: Visiting Montreal

I'll be visiting Montreal Sunday through all next week. Anyone available for some pinball one evening? I haven't met most of the crew down that way, but would love to meet up for a few games. On another note - I'll likely have space to haul something back towards Toronto if anyone needs anything. u...

Re: THE MAACA DAILY NEWS! Your daily read about YOU,the members!

I have anarchy for breakfast. I’m not a fan of my job and I do not conform. I do what I need to and produce more than required. I do wear my Chamaeleon suit while I am here. That’s close enough. ;) Careful my friend. If you are good at what you do they will ask for more because you know what you ar...

Re: THE MAACA DAILY NEWS! Your daily read about YOU,the members!

It is difficult to play the game if you are trying to conform... And you don't wish to. It is hard to change the game without conforming first... And then, it might be anarchy. Real good taliking with you last night Scott. You sounded good. Alot of good things (and other shit) happening in our live...

Re: Where were you in 1982 ?

Looked up my journal from April 2,1982. 37 years ago - yikes ! Apart from my friend Mike throwing a full basket of french fries on Mary and I (for a laugh) at Lenzo's restaurant and my punching him in the ribs in return (I was mad) and being "asked" to leave the restaurant, (we were done a...

Re: PETG washers/plastic protectors in Canada?

If that's the washer that goes between the ice and the player on a super chexx then that will be a brittle plastic like acrylic or lexan. Problem with those is that they won't survive direct ball strikes. The new PETG plastics are awesome for that- much more flexible under a direct impact without s...

Re: PETG washers/plastic protectors in Canada?

Is anyone making/selling PETG washers and plastic protectors in Canada? I find it kind of silly that a small bubble envelope sent USPS international lettermail for $2 costs $34USD, but it seems that most of the pinball products sellers are using the same shipping estimation tool in their shopping c...

Spring is finally here, I can feel it. I am so fucking happy. (bullshit-bullshit-bullshit) How is everybody feeling today, - good I hope. Don't mind me too much, I have only a few things to say tonight. 1) Never overcook your broccoli, it depletes the vitamin D which it has in droves. Hell, don't ov...

Wow, really like that title. One hell of a challenging and frustrating layout in the Krinsky tradition. It looks to be in good aesthetic condition and priced reasonably. Ted, you have first dibs ofcourse, but if you don't pick it up I will take it for the North Star if I can find a way to get it up ...
