Re: THE MAACA DAILY NEWS! Your daily read about YOU,the members!

These quick changes in the weather have got me reeling for meaning. Full moon two days ago, hence lots of nervous, anxious and vocal characters populating the context during the past little while. A bit nerve racking, but nothing too big to handle. What is growing is what has got me keeping my eyes ...

Re: 2019 Ottawa Pinball Show

Glad to have this event confirmed Josh. Count on me once again this year.

Much like yourself, I plan to make up for that tornado last year by bringing a lot of weird stuff to ward off any of the bad hoodoo from last year.

Re: Help: WM Dealer's Choice

No worries Neil. I think you are doing ok in the pinball world, as for the wider world, we are all a little bit lost, floating aimlessly trying to create meaning for ourselves where there may well be none at all if we weren't here and conscious.

Re: Help: WM Dealer's Choice

R.A.B: thanks so much! Weird. So I should be okay without it? The game has other issues and I wan't sure if this was somehow affecting it. If it's what you say, then it should be fine without it right? I don't care about nickel or dime functionality. Yeah, you'll be fine without it for game play. J...

Re: Help: WM Dealer's Choice

dealers2.jpgI have this Dealer's Choice, and I am wondering if anyone knows what is missing in this photo? I got it like this...what should be there at the back? A match unit of some kind? Hey Neil. I asked myself this same question about 32 years ago. It turns out to be a two coin - one credit ste...

Re: video: Museum of Soviet Arcade Game Machines

Thank you Cait. This video is a great example which displays how little most of us know about the amusement and vending industry in other regions of the world. I admit to being very North American based in my knowledge of coin-op like many of you, yet there is quite a bit of history and divesity whe...

Re: Mural Festival 2019 - Montréal

The Mural Festival closes today on the Main, and the stories are plentiful. It rained it shined, the people were happy, angry, laughing, loud, ugly and beautiful. On Friday night after a busy day at work, and then later at the bar moving machines, I forgot to turn off my notification “ping” on my co...

Wanted - System 1 GTB prom "P"-FOUND

Crazy I know, but I thought I would post here to see if anyone with a Gottlieb "Torch" had replaced the troublesome original MPU with a Ni-Wumph or Pascal board and still has the original Gottlieb board with a P prom sitting idle.

PM me if you have such a thang.

Thanks,

Rob

Mural Festival 2019 - Montréal

Montreal's Mural Festival opened yesterday, meaning that the Main (St.Laurent Blvd.) is closed between Sherbrooke and Mont-Royal. This is also Grand Prix Week-end so.....it's party time in la Ville de Marie. North Star - Machines à Piastres has set up a 20 foot container in association with Evenco a...

Re: Hawkesbury Flea Fair June 1-2, 2019 - Official Thread

Thank You Chris !! What a fun event this was, largely thanks to your vision. I reckon you were basing yourself on the first Hawksbury event back in 2015 as you began planning how this gig was going to go down in 2019. Back to basics, and back to the very real Olympia Bowl. Correct me if I am wrong, ...

The North Star van is all loaded up with Alouette pre-orders, common new shiny parts for sale and Zacarria's (well, Warlock's) Farfalla. Also a few goodies from Montreal Pinball will be there. And a gift for Chris ofcourse, for letting me crash at his place. Getting on the road by 7AM in the morrow....

Re: Dealing with the wife

Let's see the edit bro. Done. "Look up, waaay up, and I'll call Rusty." Opening quote from the Friendly Giant. Then the (un)friendly giant actor was rumoured to say off camera - "Jerome the Giraffe, take Rusty down and away to Kentucky Fried Chicken." Rusty was a rooster, see an...

Re: Dealing with the wife

I was wondering if anyone would answer Francis on how to work out a deal with his wife vis à vis his pinball machine passion. I quietly thought to myself that I would write something funny if no one dared reply. Some of your wives I am sure read, or have read this forum so this can be a well visited...

ok, will do Chris. In the meantime, go around the burnt fuse three times with cigarette paper, that should be about 15 amps tolerance. I am at Alouette today and friday, but friday is going to be "tight" if you need anything from here, especially if I have to look for it. So today ...

Re: Hawkesbury Flea Fair June 1-2, 2019 - Official Thread

We need a fuse dealer at the flea fair. It’s impossible to find fuses around here. What values do you need Chris ? I have them all at Alouette, and can add them to your order. I certainly won't bring them all, too much trouble when one has been drinking, trying to figure out if it's a slow blow or ...

I am not sure I saw any points on the scribbles we used to find out who was playing who, so this leads me to think that we were playing to get the other guy out of the tourney.

Better check with Darkdog1, he seemed to know what was going on.

Great post Robert. I tried to look at the old MAACA forum (read only) to get more info about the first time I was called in to service this Gottlieb “Punk” machine, but I can't seem to get it up on my screen. What exactly is not working ? What I could save is still online here: http://archive.maaca...
