Re: FS: System 11 display board and 7-digit displays
Just to update this thread: the HS set (541) is sold. I still have defective driver board for Road Kings (542) and the three displays in these conditions: 1. Data East 7 digit (numeric?) = dead 2. RK 542 - 7 digit alpha numeric with shimmer in first digit 3. RK 542 - 7 digit alpha numeric with dead ...

It's also a board prone to acid damage from on-board batteries.

Re: FS: System 11 display board and 7-digit displays
Guess what? Four years later, I still have some of these parts and wish to sell them! HIGH SPEED (game 541) System 11 Display Driver board, with one Alpha-Numeric display perfectly working, one Alphanumeric with a shimmer in first digit(s), and two numerics completely dead. This is the state these w...

It's ok. Sure has a lot of "geegoss" on it. Didn't get to trigger much of anything in the 2 games I played. Maybe that's good for home use, or maybe it's just the unfinished ruleset.

Re: Finally, a reason to own an iPad!! :D
Reviewers are saying the Bluetooth connection method has a slight lag, which in fast reflex games like pinball is noticeable. I also recently caught a very brief glimpse of a tiny stick on joystick (suction cup?) I've since lost track of it. Seen that one? It's called Fling. It was way over priced w...

Re: Any idea where to get 3a SB fuses in the GTA?
Just throwing in my 2cents for what it's worth: the guys at the Sayal in Vaughan/Concord (1330 CREDITSTONE ROAD) are usually helpful. At the very least, they give me an aisle #, but couple occasions I asked questions at the counter about some parts I was about to buy and they sent off a guy to locat...

Re: What is this ?
the thing with "DECO" on it? Could be part of the Data East cassette based system (though that would be really weird since that system is older than your cabinet). If that's not what you're talking about, then post some proper photos. Only "metal box" I saw was the black one, and...

They do appear to be more for "style" (aka hipster appeal) than profit at the locations I see them at.

EM pins on location
Have EM prices gone up at all? It would seem that EM pins are "cool" again in Toronto. Asides from the Pinball Cafe, I keep running into them at various places. "The 3030" at 3030 Dundas st West is a bar/restaurant/live music location in The Junction with 3 working EMs in the fro...

pretty sure CGA is "standard res" (15hz). Check your medium res monitor for a switch or jumper to make it standard res (kind of a waste of a medium res though).

Not a good sign when the photo representing the item for sale has a big red scratch on it.

OK which one of you bastards was hogging the Transformers pin the ENTIRE TIME I was at Playdium on Saturday, roughly 5 to 6:45pm ?!?!?!
*sigh*
Played lots of Tron. Enjoyed it a lot. Until it wigged out and started 4 player games, and stopped ejecting the ball by ball 2 of player 2.

Re: How many years have you been in the hobby ?
Bought a non-working Star Trek pin in 1990 for $50. Got a replacement power supply and a NOS backglass straight from Bally's warehouse through a "connection". Didn't know jack about repairing games back then and couldn't get it working properly so I sold it all for $75. The next year, I go...
