Re: ROUTINE ON THE ROAD – REFUGE BY THE RIVERSIDE

“ They couldn't declare war on anybody else because the borders were closed. (old man laughter)“. LoL

I actually laughed when I read that line. You’re telling of the tale was a lot more in depth and flamboyant than mine. I did not know you trolled Facebook.

Re: ROUTINE ON THE ROAD – REFUGE BY THE RIVERSIDE

I got lucky on that one flowing easily. It was natural. I had to wrap my head in bandages the last time you made me think. The attempt to think philosophically absorbs all my attention. Normally I like to toss inspiration at you and sit back and enjoy the ride. Sometimes I'm compelled for debate. It...

Re: ROUTINE ON THE ROAD – REFUGE BY THE RIVERSIDE

I find the utilitarian purpose of routine is necessary and inevitable. I've seen people trying to live every moment in life to its fullest. That's gotta be exhaustingly impossible. Sometimes you just need to turn the brain off and hit cruise control. Mundane repetitive labour is a great distraction ...

Re: Here is Practical Explanation about Next Life,

Short of being a pinball forum we do enjoy a philosophical debate now and then. Its all good if you at least introduce yourself, have/WTB a pinball machine and join in on other philosophical threads first before preaching an opinion of yours as wholesome as it may be. If you don't come back to expan...

"HUO" Stellar Wars - SOLD

For sale is my “HUO” Stellar Wars for $1800. Many of you who have been to the second Canada PinCon would remember playing this game in the IFPA sanctioned tournament. This mostly removes the HUO concept from the game, but there’s a little more. This game has an interesting history to it..... My lif...

Re: What is the definition of a project?

I call a machine a project if I can't reliably have a full game on it. And that includes intermittent issues, like 5V resets, multiple balls being ejected into the shooter lane, balls getting stuck in saucers, etc. If I can reliably play multiple full games on it, it's a Players condition game. :) ...

Re: ROUTINE ON THE ROAD – REFUGE BY THE RIVERSIDE

I remember Winston Churchill saying this in a Documentary I believe. Fine example of the state of pure truth. The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. Winston Churchill I’ve always been a big fan of Oscar Wilde’s wisdom and wit. This ...

As always RAB, you leave me something to think about. The problem with Philosophy is that it’s too much thinking about “why’s” and reality.

Is there a more obtuse version or has that been the common practice and norm of the masses? Has anyone ever considered the incorporation of nesciene into Philosophy or is that considered politics?

Re: Buying and selling and parts store contradiction, covid-19

I dropped a machine off at the top of my buddies driveway And headed back down. He then Came out, wiped it down top to bottom. I then sat 40 feet away on a chair from the back of my van and had a beer and a chat. This was in the early stages of the pandemic. The wind was in a favourable direction. T...
