Re: ROUTINE ON THE ROAD – REFUGE BY THE RIVERSIDE

Speaking of Renaissance, this is the waterfront view five minutes down the road from my hotel. The GM Renaissance Center. I’m starting week five of eight in Windsor Ontario. It’s odd seeing the town so torpid and empty. Detroit is so close you can touch it, but you can’t. You can see the people in c...

Are you looking for something perfect or something that needs a bit of work and a whole lot of extra parts?
I’m interested in a parts machine if Sly isn’t.

Re: ROUTINE ON THE ROAD – REFUGE BY THE RIVERSIDE

“....fear and stupidity being a way to control voters”. I’ve been very busy lately and haven’t had a chance to dig by the Riverside. That statement you said above stuck to the side of my head like a piece of bologna Other than more accurately it should’ve said being the way. That’s 100% fact and wha...

Thanks Rob. I wasn’t prepared to go back to twisting wrenches yet, but I can chill for a while when that gig is up. I was watching The Pursuit of Happyness the night before the call and I felt horribly obligated. Lol

Re: Enough already....

It’s quite simple math and psychology. If we have close to 3500 members most being happy and content, but there’s one person that decides to go very hardcore wierd and extreme in a bizarre way to attack somebody I figure we can rest easily understanding where the true problem is. ;)

Places to play - Windsor

Good morning guys. Unfortunately, I have to leave the family for work. I’ll be going to the Windsor airport for a couple of months. I’m looking for places to play some pinball once I get settled in. I won’t be bringing a pin with me this time because I’m taking my car, but I will be bringing a playf...

LED Lighting Under Pins

I wanted to put LED lighting under my pins in the arcade. I figure it would give a nice ground effect. What is a good setup?

This is a sample picture.

Re: ROUTINE ON THE ROAD – REFUGE BY THE RIVERSIDE

I’ve always enjoyed your writings Robert. They give this monkey things to think about while trying to remember which button to push to get the cookie. Regarding emptiness, I feel life is never completely full. There’s always a couple of drawers left empty to accept new trinkets. I would hate being f...

Those are wise words that must’ve stuck in my head and modified to my perception. I do remember Pitt St. being empty at the end and those words on the wall. They were great times (on my side) fondly remembered and missed.

Re: when can bars turn pinball machines in again?

is Targ opening in phase 3? Yes it is. Opening next week. Going down to 13 pinball machines and less arcades. Separators and sanitizer at each game. Not sure capacity but will be 50 or less. Most importantly, will they have perogies??! That's a must! Pierogies have been available for pick up and ta...

RAB “ Is there anything to celebrate this year”? Well, guaranteed the Band-Aid has been pulled off of the consumable rut and decadence of our existence. We have been forced into change be it both positive and negative. Definitely, I can celebrate the rest and reboot. I can celebrate quality time wit...

Re: ROUTINE ON THE ROAD – REFUGE BY THE RIVERSIDE

I never did understand the concept of self help books and having little notes around the house stating “you are special, you can do it”. Individuals in society have become very frail and fragile. There used to be a time where you had to walk around in the wilderness and find something to eat or you’...

“ They couldn't declare war on anybody else because the borders were closed. (old man laughter)“. LoL

I actually laughed when I read that line. You’re telling of the tale was a lot more in depth and flamboyant than mine. I did not know you trolled Facebook.

I got lucky on that one flowing easily. It was natural. I had to wrap my head in bandages the last time you made me think. The attempt to think philosophically absorbs all my attention. Normally I like to toss inspiration at you and sit back and enjoy the ride. Sometimes I'm compelled for debate. It...

Re: ROUTINE ON THE ROAD – REFUGE BY THE RIVERSIDE

I find the utilitarian purpose of routine is necessary and inevitable. I've seen people trying to live every moment in life to its fullest. That's gotta be exhaustingly impossible. Sometimes you just need to turn the brain off and hit cruise control. Mundane repetitive labour is a great distraction ...

Re: Here is Practical Explanation about Next Life,

Short of being a pinball forum we do enjoy a philosophical debate now and then. Its all good if you at least introduce yourself, have/WTB a pinball machine and join in on other philosophical threads first before preaching an opinion of yours as wholesome as it may be. If you don't come back to expan...
