Maaca Bands

I was just wondering if anybody here on Maaca are part of a band.

I have one buddy who is a collector and is also part of a French punk rock band.

Mostly I'm just curious. If any of you are I was wondering what kind of music you play?

Re: Canada PinCon 2019 Statement

What about we rent a continuous row of rooms at Stephanie's then set up a pinball machine or two in each? :) Lol. I used to think about doing that when I worked and lived in hotels. I used to bring a machine or two on work tours. Before the flea fair I thought of us meeting Toronto in the middle in...

Cool. I'm gonna try to cook this disc in the oven and if it doesn't work at worst I'll be paying you a visit. It's been too long anyway. ;)

Re: Your Pinball Status 2019

As for myself, technically I'm "maxed out". I could hold 10 pins in my basement arcade and I could also start looking for a new wife. I'm not exactly sure when I started collecting, but I believe it was around 2007 and unintentional. Since then I've gone through around 22 machines. I...

Your Pinball Status 2019

What are your plans for pinball in 2019? Are you buying, selling, going somewhere, searching for that 1 special pin, starting a league, hosting a tournament?

In the last 30 days, there have been over 6000 unique users of the site, and over 100000 pages visited!!! 20% new visitors just in the last month!!!! T...

The nice thing about seeing all of the sold listings is that there are that many more machines out there brought back to high quality standards that should live on for a very long time.

Super-bands and Feelings

Now that superbands have been around for a few years what are your feelings towards them? Personally, I love them on my flippers of any pin from any era. I will even stray from basic red to fit a SS that would appreciate the change in colour. I also like the mini post 27/64 inch OD white if strategi...

I added a couple of new ones from the replies. Some of the others are funny, but can be cross defined from existing titles or just not feasible/common enough on a scale to fit a minority. This list was a lot of fun. I figure I am: The "True" Collector The Flipper (I won't pass up a $2200 p...

Rob, I will take those Stern assemblies, and was wondering if I can order a set of 3 drop targets for a Gottlieb Totem... the yellow ones with the "explosion" graphic in the middle. Steve Young has them... I'm swinging by Rob and will pick them up sometime after lunch Friday. I also have ...

Re: Canada PinCon 2019 Statement

Thanks guys. So far we're aiming for a larger flea fair back at the bowling alley. I'm looking forward to putting the concept together. Canada PinCon is still a possibility and I can put one together quick enough. It all boils down to a machine count and reserving a couple months before. The Hawkesb...

Canada PinCon 2019 Statement

I’ve been thinking of Canada PinCon 2019 a lot lately and so far I don’t see how to make it come to fruition. In the past, Canada PinCon was designed for the collectors by the collectors to get together from near and far to enjoy each other’s company, make new friends and swap out our pinball collec...

Anybody trying to figure out what to do with or without the wives?

Anybody intend on pushing a button?

How about:

The Loaner: Lends out pins to buddies especially to hide them from his wife.
And
The Loner: The guy who doesn't associate with anybody and has an unknown amount of pins.
