Re: Hollywood Heat $1500

Are you coming to the flea fair Dave? Are you still bringing the most awesome pinball machine in the world that you casually mentioned the other month when you were in Montreal? Ugh. Early '2-piece' SS pins are easier (lighter!) to dismantle and pack in a vehicle but if you absolutely need the most...

Only a fool would let pride stand in the way of the acquisition of a good machine. :geek:

Re: Hollywood Heat $1500

Goddamn... this one is seriously killing me... I am right on the edge of breaking my "no pinball purchase" resolution... Would look great beside Genesis and Rock... My only saving grace is that it is in Toronto, and I have no plans on going in the near future... Damnit.... ARGH..... Are y...

I've updated the machine list on the front page.

I need to run out and pick up a pinball machine right (emergency lol) now so I'll post an update later today.

Re: Hawkesbury Flea Fair June 1-2, 2019 - Official Thread

Good morning everybody and happy Saturday! 3 weeks to go until beers, lawn chairs and pinball. My wife had the household internet blocked until 8am because of my kids and everyone is oddly still asleep so excuse me for being a little delayed in raising this post. Lol It would have been nice if she ...

Yes and every time I go I forgot to look. I usually get wrapped up and enjoying conversation with Robert or stressing that my wife is out in the car and I have to make it quick. LOL

WTB- Scrap Playfields

I’m looking for 1-3 scrap playfields for wall art in my garage. It’s my temporary summer arcade and I’m looking to fill some spaces. I’m wanting something with cool art. Worn out is ok as long as the majority of the good detail is still there. Lmk what you have. Thanks.

That would be a great idea. Gameplay is pretty good it’s just cosmetically and sound wise the game hurts.

Something simple like an overlay for the playfield would make conversion quick and easy as well.

Flash - Conversion Kit

I don’t want to burst any bubbles or get any hopes up about a misleading title, but I think with our modern technology it would be great if somebody designed a conversion kit for Flash. Flash is a very decent game. The artwork is god ugly. There were conversion kits fabricated in the 80s and there’s...

Re: Hawkesbury Flea Fair June 1-2, 2019 - Official Thread

I’ll post some updates tomorrow morning. I did just call Stephanie‘s and they have 11 rooms available. If anybody doesn’t know, Stephanie‘s is ground zero for the after party. Their rooms are decent, close enough to the bowling alley, attached to a very nice restaurant and quite reasonably priced at...

4 weeks to go!!! As you know, a bunch of the guys are at Allentown picking up games and projects. We are getting closer to the Flea fair and will be needing vendors to sell parts. All the other bases are covered. If you can bring your own tent/tempo and lawn chair that would be great. I will have s...

I think something like Kev’s is up my alley. I saw a whole bunch in Calgary for $100 each. I don’t see that many out this way and their a little bit more expensive here.

Re: WTB - Pachinko

hey Chris, I've done a lot of work and research on pachinkos in the past year and can assist if need be. Do you know the era you want and the features you are looking for? There are the plentiful 1970s machines that are easily acquired, with mechanical shooter and such, but beyond that there are wo...

WTB - Pachinko

I'd like to get my hands on a nice pachinko machine.

I'm interested in something with nice art, complete, working and maybe containing lights or sound. I intend it to be a long term/permanent addition to my arcade and would prefer complete and working.

Thanks

what about having a "giveaway" table where we can all bring our old parts and tools we don't want/need any more and just want them to go to someone who might use them? We could all just empty out the surplus in our workshops that we don't want to even bother selling, but just want it to h...

It is difficult to play the game if you are trying to conform... And you don't wish to. It is hard to change the game without conforming first... And then, it might be anarchy. I have anarchy for breakfast. I’m not a fan of my job and I do not conform. I do what I need to and produce more than requ...

The History of Nickels and Dimes

The one thing I know is Gottliebs Black Hole was the first pinball machine ever to demand a $.50 gameplay. Does anybody know this the timing, game, or history behind pinball machines turning from nickels, to dimes, to quarters or even loonies for that matter? What did Americans use besides one dolla...
