Re: JJP: Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory

I've always thought I'd never pony up for a NIB game, but I really liked Willy Wonka as a kid.

Visiting Montreal

I'll be visiting Montreal Sunday through all next week. Anyone available for some pinball one evening? I haven't met most of the crew down that way, but would love to meet up for a few games.

On another note - I'll likely have space to haul something back towards Toronto if anyone needs anything.

Re: CPR or SHAY backglass ?

Colours were terrible on my F2K backglass from CPR. Maybe they fixed that with their new process?

It's in amazeballs shape. Can send pics if interested. Located in Gatineau.

I could use this. I have an aftermarket reprint and it's too thick/dark.

80B can also be identified by the missing display driver chips on the top right. It can be converted with a bit of work.

This is 80A: Image

Both 80A & 80B use the same part number D 20869, however 80B has a daughter board with ROM.

Don't own just 1. Never plan on just 1, make room for 5 or more :)

Re: OT: What would you do ? ( Car repair question)

Buy used, save a tonne. The newest car I've owned is 2010. My favorite family car is my old 2004 VW Passat Wagon. Fits 4 adults with room to spare! Lots of rear leg room. Other option might be a complete used engine rather than replacing the head. Probably $3-400 for a wrecker engine and 8 hours lab...

I don 't like them. Maybe I'm just old and crusty and have been playing the same machines at home for too long!

I bought a machine too, didn't tell my wife (or try to hide it). As soon as I was done unloading she asked which was the one I bought...lol Apparently she looked on the forum to see if anyone had posted pictures before I got home, found the list of games and only counted 4 when I left! She knew befo...

Re: Canada PinCon 2019 Statement

My son and I enjoyed Pincon last year. However I underestimated the workload in packing up, hauling, unloading, setup, tear down, hauling and final setup of 5 machines back home. I'd be happy to come again, but I'll probably only bring 1-2 machines.

Thanks Chris for your efforts.

9 is a good number, but 10 was better :) I can't complain too much, she let's me have an airplane. Sure but have you ever considered... eleve-- WAIT WHAT an airplane??? I wonder if you can hide a pinball in that plane. :thinking Not even close! I wish I could afford one that big :) I actually sold ...

Today I sold another one & officially setup my last folded/stored/taken apart machine! I'm sadly down to 9. Dude, In my opinion, 9 is as good a number as any. Mix it up and you'll be fine. Rob 9 is a good number, but 10 was better :) I can't complain too much, she let's me have an airplane.

1950 Genco Harvest Time

Last night I had someone drop off a machine for repairs. In the back of their trailer was also 1950 Genco Harvest Time. I've never had much interest in wood rails myself, but it was kind of neat to see: https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4903/45252545324_9cb67273d6_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/486...

Awesome. I love that feeling of repairing an item instead of having to buy new! Your $100 toaster reminds me of my hot tub which I have repaired several times now. If you think pinball boards are pricey, try looking at hot tub stuff! Prices for a "Spa Pack" range from $500-1000. This is ju...
