Re: Northstar Pinball bar (Montreal), no free games

As a teenager I recall how much fun it was to find a newish machine on location where the extra ball or free game thresholds were still set fairly low. :) It certainly is an element of pinball and would take away from the experience.

Re: Sending Money to Someone in US

Paypal really doesn't offer any protection. The one time I had to claim something back, they supported the seller despite a fully documented claim with photos. I refuse to support paypal anymore.

Re: Hack or not

One of the hack's I really hate is replacing chips that someone previously worked on without socketing. The people who do repairs at this quality level usually damage the traces too.

Re: Marco Specialties shipping ... WTF????

Last time I ordered from Marco was 2016. I paid $49.99 for overnight shipping which includes brokerage. That was a few days before a league night when Dr Who spit out its gearbox. Mind you - I called and had them process the order because I didn't like the online options.

It is a rare variant of the Dodge Caravan where the rear windows do not go down :)

Do the rear doors only open from the outside too?

Re: CALLING ALL PINHEADS WHO HAVE BOUGHT FROM USA!

Like everyone else already said - it's pretty straight forward. I always print the original ad in case the seller takes it down. I had not thought of having them sign it instead of writing up a receipt. I like that idea!

Great looking project! I wish I never sold mine. I had done the CPR PF. If you're up for some seriously challenging play, give it a good coat of wax! The plunger got more action than the flippers the first night I used it for league.

Oh boy, I have some series time invested in this series on the C64. I called it the joystick killer! World Games was my favourite.

Moved Stargate home day. I had loaned it to my daughter for a few weeks at her office. Man I forgot how heavy that pig is. By far the heaviest one I own.

I think I'm putting this hobby on "pause" for awhile. I haven't done any league nights for well over a year now! Will probably even downsize the collection shortly....

Where I live, there is so much iron & sulfur in the water I had to manually flush the softener resin tank every few weeks. It eventually stopped working and I gave up on it. I have 3 filters on the drinking water line to get rid of the crap. The first one is a large sediment filter I change ever...

I remember walking up to the mall after school to play this one. We nick named it the `Cow game` :) Also went from C64, C128, Amiga, sadly to PC when there was no much life left in Commodore. We also had a Colecovision Adam before the C64, so now I have dated myself! Anyone else remember typing in t...

It's even more rare than my Star Race. Which would be a better game if they had finished the sounds! Just doesn't seem finished in programming there.

I collect system80's if anyone wants to part with one :)
