Where are you located? I have a friend with a GT Monitor and Chassis sitting in his basement doing nothing.

Re: black adhesive vinyl side art, how to install?

I was a graphic artist/sign maker for 7 years. The wrinkles between the decal and the backing won't matter if you use this method.

Re: Stupid Ms. Pacman experience... SOLVED! thanks!

Many, many thanks to Steph (http://www.hobbyroms.com/) The chip arrived yesterday and I just got a chance to pop it in... Ms. Pacman no longer zooms around the maze like a meth addict. Thanks so much to the community for the help, and to Steph for the great price and fast shipping! Very, very please...

Re: Monitor brightness issue - Ms. Pacman

It seems to get a little better as it gets warmed up. I think it's just worn and probably needs a rejuvenation and most likely a replacement in the near since it's going to be in my collection for a long time.

Shipping is going to hurt when the time comes. :P

Re: Monitor brightness issue - Ms. Pacman

I ordered a cap kit for it but haven't done it yet, no.

We don't have a decent electronics supply Co. locally. :/

Here's hoping. :)

I don't have an account on KLOV, so I guess I will make one. :)

Re: Monitor brightness issue - Ms. Pacman

No go. We tried that. We also manually degaussed with a degaussing coil.

I did some color adjustments and it made the problem even less noticeable. But it does still have me pretty stumped.

Re: Monitor brightness issue - Ms. Pacman

I don't know how to get this machine to show a test pattern internally. When I set the service switch to the on position it shows me my dip settings while each button and joy direction tests sound. The button next to the test switch causes a reset. Even in the manual it mentions sending a test patte...

Just degaussed, no change. Hmmm...

Any other ideas on what it could be?

True. Never thought of that.

More concerned about the pinballs than human life.

Re: not for the faint of heart!!!

Jeez, that video. I recall that commented negatively (but not ignorantly) to that vid on their youtube site and they came back at me and like spoiled children. IIRC, all I said was something along the lines of how dissapointing and ridiculous it was to waste usable parts when the hobby needs all the...

Monitor brightness issue - Ms. Pacman

Hi all. I have a brightness issue on a recently acquired Ms. Pacman cocktail. I have noticed that one end of the monitor is ever so slightly brighter than the other. Forgive the blurry image, but it does represent the extent that it is out of whack, left to right. (Very slightly) Click for image... ...

Re: My stupid Ms. Pacman experience... (HELP!!)

Is there anywhere you guys would recommend that I get a "regular" romset that you mentioned above, BUT takes CC or Paypal?

It's just much, much more convenient for me.

Thanks all :)

Re: My stupid Ms. Pacman experience... (HELP!!)

If it was for me I'd consider it, but the wife wouldn't dig the speed hack version. Plus she already has a beautiful Mame 70 in 1 I custom made from an old Gorf cabinet if she wants to play the other flavors. This one's gonna be original. hopefully. :)

Re: My stupid Ms. Pacman experience... (HELP!!)

Seems simple, but I have also been reading about some real ghetto speed hacks. I haven't dug into the machine yet, but I'll have a look today. I really, really hope it's as simple as 6F. :)

Thanks! :)

Stupid Ms. Pacman experience... SOLVED! thanks!

First of all, I am great with mame cabs and pinballs, not so much with old school repairs, so if this seems stupid, forgive me. I just need some help/advice. So my wife has always wanted a Ms. Pacman... A real one. I have 2 mame cabs, a mame cocktail and a few pinballs, but she has her heart set on ...

Re: wtb track and field

I have been looking for a T&F myself for quite a while as well. This company near my hometown has one in pretty crappy condition. I passed on it, as I want someting a little nice as a starting point. Their price on it is $250 firm. It is an Upright, not verified working. I did the math, and I think ...
