Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

I moved 27 games around (and ripped up a bathroom but that is another story). I am sore. Lol. A realignment was needed to give me quick access to games needing work to be completed latest summer 2021. Moved my own project games from storage to basement. No days off. great work, Sparky. But damn do ...

I must be out of touch on pricing. $7K for Sopranos seemed crazy to me. Congrats on the sale.
I think the number of aughts Sterns that are HUO are few and far between. Far less people bought NIB back then, so HUO is a rare premium. Nice non-HUO Sopranos have been up to $5k it seems.

Re: JJP Guns n Roses Not In This Lifetime

one thing I didn't quite realize: GnR is designed by Eric Meunier, whose only other game designed is JJP PotC. WHAT A DEBUT On the Stern side, we have Keith Ellwin: Iron Maiden, Jurassic Park, Avengers Infinity Quest. the future of pinball is looking bright with these two competing. I can't wait for...

Re: bingo price check

that doesn't mean it won't sell, it will probably sell eventually in that range! But one-ball and bingo machines are kind of like old pianos: They're amazing machines, and have the potential to live again, but when you want to get rid of it you are almost hiring someone else to handle the logistics ...

Re: bingo price check

maybe $300 if it's all working, $100-150 if it's a project. (but bingos are seldom all-working)
Sorry, there's no serious market on bingos.

Nobody has updated the Ponball Map apps.
I see nothing listed at Nuden, but I'm sure there is may 3,or 4 Stern's in there
I added the location to the Ottawa Pinball Map. Feel free to add/remove machines.

Re: JJP Guns n Roses Not In This Lifetime

back on topic, I want to compare GnR Standard to a Stern Pro model JJP GnR standard: $6750 USD Stern AIQ Pro: $6200 USD JJP has a lot going for it, but when I compare it to AIQ, I would have a hard time saying one is better than the other. I'm not a legal expert, but I imagine JJP had to pay a decen...

Re: JJP Guns n Roses Not In This Lifetime

Yeah let's not forget that pinball machines are still a piece of commercial equipment. They have managed to also turn it into a luxury home good as well, with a pile of sales going to the home collector, but that's been a slow and deliberate build over the last 15 years. It's not easy to just build ...

I don't get it, Slash is doing exactly what he wants to be doing. I doubt he'll really notice the JJP money entering his bank account.

Save Cabin Fever

https://www.gofundme.com/f/save-cabin-fever 20 years ago, there was barely a couple of pinball machines on location around Toronto. Pinball was effectively a dead pastime for most, relegated to the dustbin of history. Then came a resurgence, and pinball started showing up again, and dedicated places...

Re: The history of Sega's time traveler the world's first holographic arcade game

I remember when it was first released and it was simply incredible. Undeniable wow factor.
But the game itself is embarrassing.

Galloping Ghosts has this on their arcade floor, right next to the Holoseum followup.
