Re: Yah, fine..., but can he play pinball ?!?!?

Congrats! I would be a proud parent as well! I would also be thinking "Man, what dick teacher doesn't just throw him the extra %1?" I suppose they are not allowed to give out perfect scores. My entire life I would be wondering, what was the thing I did wrong. Ha!

Re: Pet peeve on classifieds, kijiji and whatever... advice

This annoys me as well. My biggest Kijiji pet peeve is when you click on an image it opens the image in a separate screen even smaller that the one you clicked on. Am I doing something incorrectly? Why would the zoom in image be smaller than the original? It's driving me batty! Used to drive me nut...

Re: WHERE TO GET PARTS in CANADA!!!

Thanks everyone. I did a lot of digging last night. The p/n is 4006-01017-06 which can be found at Marco, but I won't be ordering it from there. I'm sure I can find it at Fastenal and now I know the screw measurements (Machine screw 6-32 thread x 3/8" long with phillips round head and external tooth...

Re: WHERE TO GET PARTS in CANADA!!!

I would like to suggest renaming this thread to "Where can I buy..." or "Where in Canada can I buy..." I love the concept of this thread. I love that the point of it is to keep our purchases within Canada. However, none of the places listed so far apply to me. I would like to see more basic stores a...

Awesome. I'm going to enjoy watching you redo the veneer. I have an old transistor radio I would like to attempt to refurb so hopefully this thread helps me.

I remember when NIB started being used heavily on eBay. I originally thought NIB meant NEVER IN BOX. The Seller wasn't too happy with my question, even though it was an honest one.

Ha!

I think those cabinets reflect as much a bygone era as an arcade cab does... I remember spending countless hours listening to records in the dark with my big headphones. Good times. You captured my thoughts and sentiment exactly! Finding something like this recaptured a part of me I didn't even kno...

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

Not exactly the hobby, but picked up this sweet little audio shelf today. Original Sony from I don't know what year. Complete with "Its a Sony" sticker, and the SONY logo. Particle board unit, with metal trim, silver t-moulding, and glossy black corner covers. The guy even left the tempered glass wa...

Re: LEDS for sale

Dave, for the flex LEDs is that the standard length for the wire leads? I'm use to the Comet flex bulbs and the wire leads they use are much shorter. I am not saying this is a bad thing, I am just curious. What is the price on flex?

Does anyone have a PinGulp kicking around they are not using and would like to sell? Maybe you ordered one too many and are never going to use it? I'm sure this pin will do well. It will do well on location too. You know when it would have really done well though? In the actual 90's! I would have dumped loonie after loonie into this pin back then.

I can't wait to see Mortal Kombat released next.

Re: Are You Ready For The Heeeat Waaave

I've been outside for the past 3 days. I can't get enough of this weather. I am sucking up every bit of it while I can. Barbecue has been running everyday, flower gardens are ready to pop, vegetable garden has started. I even laid patio stones, top soil and seed today on the side of the house. This ...

Re: FS: TZ and ToM

I actually offered this one to you back in 2015. Since then it has been a useful doorstop, but the corners can be sharp. There was someone interested in writing an article about it (can't remember who) so I did up some photos but I don't think anything ever came of it. I only recently chucked it int...

Re: FS: TZ and ToM

Very nice. If I only had the cash. BTW, that power supply is just a voltage regulator that was mandated by Ontario hydro companies. It was basically a cash grab/scam. It's pretty much worthless, except for it's weight in metal. I remove them and bring them in for scrap. Lightens the pin by about 20l...

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

I finally took the plunge into the colour dmd world with a pin2dmd for my MET. A local collector (Dino Z) is assembling these and at almost 1/3rd the price of a ColorDMD (after shipping, taxes etc...) it is well worth it. Now to decide the next machine to upgrade. ps. Anyone need a nice Stern DMD? ...

Re: WHAT IS THE COLLOR SLATE

Slate was used for Grey in wire colour coding because Grey and Green started with the same 3 letters. Even though Green is often abbreviated GN, and Grey is GR, but you can see how people would think GR is Green. Green is commonly used for ground so confusing Green with Grey probably would (and did)...

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

Busy weekend, and Monday for me. My wife has been asking me to build her a trellis for our raised garden beds. I started building it, but noticed one side of the garden bed had rotted out. Rebuilt the side. Trellis is scheduled for tomorrow. Our basement has been getting a pretty big makeover. Wall ...

Re: What is the definition of a project?

I define a project as anything I have to put my beer down to do. That said, I'm not able to work on a project without a beer.

Seriously though, anything my wife wants me to do is a project. Anything I want to do is a hobby. ;)
