Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

I recommend this for your tumbler: https://www.amazon.ca/Lyman-Turbo-Media ... 725&sr=8-9
Seems way more uniform and less messy than walnut from the pet store.

I use Mean Green in the ultrasonic.

Re: WHERE TO GET PARTS in CANADA!!!

Try searching www.hillmangroup.com to find the part number. Then search that part number on amazon.ca. Got lots of Phillips fasteners that way.

Idea: cheap items for sale? Price = donation to maaca

So someone wanted my free coin door and was willing to pay to have it shipped. I requested that he pay the shipping as a donation to maaca.org. If you have a cheap part, consider asking for a donation to maaca.org for it! All on faith of course, but what else do we have... I've done this several tim...

Fine school (I went there for my B.Math CS). Co-op should help with the sting of tuition a bit!

Re: WHERE TO GET PARTS in CANADA!!!

Check the spaenaur.com catalog for fasteners. They can order it for you at the Tool & Equipment store.

Let me know what SEMS screw you need I might have them. Once you get a box it’s a lifetime supply.

I’ve also found Phillips screws on Amazon but their search sucks.

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

I found that my BSD had an Addams Family lamp board in the speaker panel! I learned the basics of KiCad and created the right board based on a BSD #2 I have here. Sent to China for fabrication, $50 for 5 boards shipped.

I also paid more for Marco shipping than the parts cost ouch.

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

Getting near the end of a major project fixing up BSD. I rewired the entire playfield (yup that took a long time) everything on connectors and colour-correct wire. Redecaled the cabinet. Looked at the speaker panel figuring I'll just do a quick clean and install the new plastic and new Flipper Fidel...

Re: My RAD CALS review - Indiana Jones

I'm in the middle of installing a set on BSD. How did you mark/drill the holes? There are a lot of holes to drill by the way. I am marking from the inside with a brad tipped drill bit then using a Forstner bit to drill the hole from the outside. Makes a nice clean hole but I had to spend quite a bit...

I would have thought the expoy is too thick? Never heard of someone using it before.

I have the HP 4670 scanner and I have been able to stitch using Microsoft ICE no problem.

Re: Hack or not

I was having some trouble recently putting 0.062" pins onto 22AWG wire in my Bram Stoker's Dracula. The crimp didn't seem tight enough. I measured the diameter of the wire, it is actually smaller than the 18-22AWG crimp spec sheet allows. I bought some 22-28AWG 0.062" pins and they work -- but very ...
