NOT MINE : Williams Big Deal - $450

There is a Williams Big Deal at Eco Depot in Lachine. Pretty beat up and not a project that I'm interested in. Sticker price on it is 450$. It's been there a few weeks, so maybe there is room for negotiation, I dont know. This is NOT my machine... so don't message me about it :-) Screenshot_20190906...

Re: BREAKING NEWS: No more license fees on arcades in Quebec

Just so we're understanding it, when were the licensing fees introduced? Are the old laws legacy of the 80s arcade boom? Yup, $343 per machine. And as Rob mentioned, non transferable. So if you had a pin off route for a few months being serviced, you still paid the yearly fee and couldn't transfer ...

Rob at Alouette also knows a tech that works on monitors (he services the Alouette games). If you are at the MPL on Friday, you can ask him for the guy's contact info... maybe he does house calls.

Re: WTB/LF: working 25 inch monitor

What is wrong with your current monitor? A few of us on here work on them sometimes and can maybe help you troubleshoot/fix the problem.

If the tube on your monitor is good, you can also send out the chassis for refurbishing... a lot cheaper than buying a new monitor.

Peu...

Re: Addams family, IJ, TZ, CFTBL, MM + others (Montreal)

Exidy made bad ass games in the 70's and 80s (Death Race, Crossbow, Cheyenne, Chiller, etc...)
I used to play Crossbow at Pinnochio... I seem to remember burning through a credit very quickly.

Thanks for the video Pat!

I just hope Stern doesn't use the cost cutting measures used to build the home edition as inspiration for future Pro models of their games. Happened with the Spike system.

Some more pictures for the archives.
I can't say that I had a favorite downtown arcade... I would often hit 3 or 4 different ones on a Friday night. Loved the choices we were offered.
