Re: LF Seeburg coin mechansim

I bought the whole unit, coin mech, switch assembly and harness to plug in to the pricing unit I had. Everything is working good now after tearing down and rebuilding the single pricing unit SPU1H that was; by some previous owner, deliberately jammed on free play, but the NRI coin rejector is set up ...

Re: Wallbox re-encoder

I thought about posting to Github and still may but it seemed appropriate to post where people may have or have access to the equipment and want to do something like this with it.

Wallbox re-encoder

I'll post the wallbox re-encoder solution in the event that someone else may want to get wallbox x to work with jukebox y or just out of curiosity. The work here was built on research into creating a Seeburg wallbox to Sonos player by Dr. Scott M. Baker. If it weren't for him posting his work ...

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

Got my wallboxes completed and installed. I had to make a circuit board to re-encode the SC1 data train (squarish wallbox) to RCSU2 selector standard to have it work with the 222 and 3WA (roundish wallbox) that were meant to work together. Everything is speaking the same language now. Circuit board ...

Re: Happy birthday necro_nemesis

I did a NOS playfield replacement on a Fire! once. It was undimpled so lots of little templates to figure out where to mount things but in the end it worked out fine. I liked how it unlocked the sound track based on your progress like playing to unlock the full script of a player piano. Didn't have ...

You don't want the latest. You want the 2010 ROMs.

Attached instructions has a list of the ROMs required.

Re: Happy birthday necro_nemesis

I must say it was something special to get to play all of those System 11 games. Looking at posts, I end up asking myself where did they all go? I guess people just like them so much they hang onto them. "NFS" not for sale in most cases I'm thinking. Hope you hung onto a couple.

Re: VR Halfdeck's VIrtual Arcade Timecapsule

You should be fine with that. You will need to connect a controller to play the games. The VR controllers for moving around and the game controller to play games. Something the PC sees like xinput of an XBox controller or others set up for PC play. Same you would do to play MAME with a controller ...

Re: Happy birthday necro_nemesis

Thank you all. Still in the hobby. A little this, a little that. Once and awhile I check in to see if someone is selling something I like or looking for some info I may just happen to have. A lot of newer games being discussed which is great but I am more of fix and restore guy like a lot of the ...

VR Halfdeck's VIrtual Arcade Timecapsule

One man development team free MAME based VR arcade. Details in the video description. Lots of attention to detail and works quite well.

Requires PCVR set up to run.

On WPC the sound adjustment works both in the door and using the board. I preset the ranges for bb and cab for the speakers used on the board and then adjust general volume from the door switches.

Re: What is the best video game you’ve ever played?

I'd say my answer is based on what was technically feasible at the time and what reward I got from playing it. Played the hell out of Defender, by far more than any other arcade at the time. I played through Shadow of the Colossus more than once which isn't something I think I've ever otherwise done ...

There's a spot for an unpopulated optional Arduino co-processor on that board revision. I see you have both DE and WPC connectors mounted and using DAC. What's it going into?

Re: FS: Strange but True - TAF shipping box and internals

Small world. I bought my TZ from Nasty Nick many years ago. Might have been the one you looked at. Story was he routed it pretty much across the road from his shop and it didn't get much play. I don't know about the across the road part but it didn't get much play.

I also have a Chris Granner Altsound profile I made for TZ that has the original DCS music ...

Re: TILT!Audio

There's no requirement for SSH, SFTP or even converting files from ogg to wav. Since I'm conversant with doing that I drill down to optional ways to use the unit and inevitably someone who wanted to know and is equally conversant would have the answer. An SD card could be supplied that's already set ...
