Re: Best (affordable) stair-climbing dolly?

Thanks for all your responses! I wouldn't wanna rent because that sort of defeats the purpose as well, since I don't want to be calling folks to help out all the time either.

I think the automated one is the way to go, like this thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgVRNGrfnvU

Now to find one! lol

Best (affordable) stair-climbing dolly?

Hey all! I only started getting into pinball about 3 years ago and I've already gone through 8 of them, with 5 still at home (and 2 more coming). I have WINDING STAIRS which are tough to navigate with a basic dolly, not to mention, I have back issues. Can any of you recommend a good affordable (able...

Re: Just 1 pinball from the last 2 years ?

Deadpool! I had JP for a few months, just didn't "do it" for me, sold it and got an ELVIRA instead, a lot more fun. But I've had DEADPOOL for over two years now, still play it a few times every week, tons of fun and I likely won't be selling it for years.

Re: Cruis'n Exotica (driving game) for sale

Dude, the amount of people who emailed me for the TAPPER is unbelievable! More folks that reached out for the driving game....too funny.

I will hopefully sell the CRUIS'N in the coming days and I may put the TAPPER up for sale next week, not sure yet but clearly....there's demand... ;)

Cruis'n Exotica (driving game) for sale

Full size driving game, works perfectly. New screen, looks sweet. Can be taken apart into 2 pieces (the seat section and the cabinet). About 300lbs and 125lbs respectively. I can bring them into my garage for pick-up. Let me know if you have other questions. Will throw in the purple seat covers, if ...

Re: TRADE

WOW! I don't think you have enough pinball machines... lol. Seriously though, I have 5 pins at home and was thinking about "trading" 1 of them to someone else in the Montreal area, for 6 months or something, just to play something different during this pandemic. Then switch back after, I don't know....

Re: Judge Dredd - flipper and speaker problems

The switch opto can cause that. Swap the boards and see if the problem moves. I know that system very well I have been working on those games since they were new. Don't waste your money on a coil. So we wanted to swap the opto's but they are different on both sides. One is with plastic, the other w...

Re: Judge Dredd - flipper and speaker problems

Wow, thanks for all your responses! My friend came over today (yes, some people are still doing that, hehe) and he checked the voltage on the 4 flippers and they all showed around 46 (they're all 50v) EXCEPT for the left flipper with the issues, which only showed it working at 30v (when game was on)...

Judge Dredd - flipper and speaker problems

I recently purchased my first JUDGE DREDD machine. I love it overall but I had some basic issues which we fixed, and upgraded to color DMD, but two issues remain... 1) The left flipper was very weak when I got it. Tried to fix, but nothing helped so I just ordered a brand new "flipper kit" from Pinb...

Re: Indiana Jones (Williams) - Pinsound issues

WOW. Even though the PINSOUND issues were fixed last week, the night before the Superbowl, I played another game on it and once again, after the ball went into the PATH OF ADVENTURE area and I used the left flipper to move it a little, the left flipper GAVE OUT again and now doesn't work anymore. I...

Re: Indiana Jones (Williams) - Pinsound issues

I have an awesome Williams INDIANA JONES but most recently the left flipper stopped working. It was fixed by changing a fuse inside, but the next day I noticed that there's NO SOUND when I play the game anymore. I'm NOT A TECHIE by any means, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I lowered the volum...

Re: Indiana Jones (Williams) - Pinsound issues

Well, sadly this situation went from bad to worse. A couple of hours after updating the firmware, I heard some "weird sounds" emanating from my basement and when I went downstairs, I saw INDIANA as such: IMG_3222.JPG Obviously I didn't know what to do so I re-booted the pin. The PINSOUND theme stil...

Re: Indiana Jones (Williams) - Pinsound issues

I was able to update the FIRMWARE today (uploaded to USB key, replaced key in IJ) but it didn't seem to help. Still no sound and still gives that same "sound board interface error" message. I wasn't able to go to Alouette today and it might have to wait until next week as I'm super busy tomorrow as ...

Re: Indiana Jones (Williams) - Pinsound issues

The first error looks like a connection problem at the connectors. The second error is telling you that switch did not change state in the last couple dozen games. It is likely the switch is stuck, or no longer works because a cable is broken. Thank you for the diagnosis, unfortunately I'm not a te...

Re: Where can I buy a spring for my Metallica flipper? (locally)

Player One on Begin street in St-Laurent. You have to pay first and the order comes from Toronto. They carry parts for modern Sterns. Alouette on Delmeade street in Mont-Royal for all your parts needs. R.A.B. now works there. Player One always takes too long (took me 2 months to get a shaker motor ...

Where can I buy a spring for my Metallica flipper? (locally)

I noticed that my METALLICA left flipper wasn't "coming back" to its default position the other day and when I checked below, one of the springs had broken. IMG_3213.JPG I realize I can order these from MARCO or whatever but does anyone know a spot locally, around Montreal, where we can purchase suc...

Re: Indiana Jones (Williams) - Pinsound issues

Pinsound REPLACES your sound board. When you lower the volume to 0, all you are doing is switching the "sound set" that's on the usb key connected to the pinsound. You therefore have the original sounds and probably an alternative set or two. "changing a fuse": was probably on the flipper board, ri...
