Re: Anyone in ottawa do fibreglass work?

That looks about right. I used a kit from them to patch the giant hole in the bottom of my hot tub before filling in the acrylic side with a colour match.

Re: Anyone in ottawa do fibreglass work?

Noooope but you won't have leftovers. Usually it's a few bucks for a couple of squeeze packets of resin and hardener, popsicle sticks, a solo cup, and some fibreglass fabric that you cut to size. No wastage.

Re: Gottlieb Arena Manual

Hi I'm new to the site, I just purchased my first pinball machine and so excited! Looking for a manual for Arena if anyone is able to help out. I'm also looking for a ramp if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'm looking around the web and haven't had luck yet if anyone has any suggestion...

This is within your capability. You can get a small kit with everything you need from the Chandlery; it's in Britannia.

Re: Super-bands and Feelings

Are there differences between different band sources? Marco vs Titan, etc? Which are polyurethane, silicone, etc? I like them too because they look nicer and they're easier to maintain, but they do have an effect on gameplay: I have had new ones from Marco that are so grippy that a ball rolling down...

I didn't really enjoy Connecticut all that much but the place where the cheeseburger was invented was swell and so was the arcade whose staff directed me to it!

I have one of these and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's not top notch but for the price it does a very fine job. https://www.amazon.ca/Aoyue-Function-So ... B009Q5ZH58

Replaced the 5101 RAM and battery in my Centaur and Tag Team with NVRAM from Pinitech. Don't know why I didn't do it a long time ago. Inexpensive mod and light years more reliable.

Help me find this audio transformer coil

So I want to clone the sound board for Interflip Dragon. I'm sick of folks going without their Baooooooo, and a small batch of them wouldn't be hard to get together and have around. Most everything can be done with modern components, but the audio coil is eluding me. It's easy enough to find centre-...

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

A little board work tonight. Damn, do I ever love this new desoldering/soldering station . It's making quick work out of what used to be a real pain in the butt. Bally -35 MPU board had some crispy old single-wipe IC sockets causing intermittent crashes. Replaced them with proper tooled ones and res...

You don't need that from Digikey. This one will work equally well and it five bucks. Don't worry about the different shape, it still works great: https://www.digikey.ca/product-detail/e ... 93-1074-ND

Re: BLACK HOLE SPEECH CHIP NEEDED

As for the question of how difficult? Very difficult. Other unobtainium audio chips such as the reverb chip on the squalk and talk are (relatively) easy to emulate, because they're performing a straightforward transformation on an audio signal. On the other hand, the SC-01 is an analog audio chip wh...

Max temperature 45.3°C after several hours under load. I would say that's a major improvement!
