Re: Will City Take Pinball Glass on Garbage Day?

I bought a pinball recently and the playfield glass is seriously scratched. Anyone know if I can leave that in my regular garbage as is? Hoping I don't have to break it up first. The city of Ottawa wants glass panes and windows to be put with the regular garbage, unbroken, but they will collect it ...

Lest it need repeating, Astroglide is terrible lube for *all* applications, including the ones it's intended for.

Re: Best lubricant for clockwork/gears?

I'll give the 3-in-1 a shot. I tried some other brand that was a heavier weight but it's biting me in the arse now.

Best lubricant for clockwork/gears?

So I have an interflip dragon with a clockwork gearing mechanism to step down the ratio from the drive motor. The old lube was pretty gummy so I cleaned it out, and then I relubed it with a silicone-based spray lube that has worked well for me. It played great for a couple of months but I guess some...

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

I seem to be in some dumb fight on pinside because CPR substituted blue for green in their run of Meteor backglasses. Oh, and I met the mayor of Ottawa this morning. Still probably won't vote for him again, but I met him.

Missing Circlip from Classic Stern Drop Target

Anyone got one of these Jesus clips kicking around? I will probably end up at Ottawa Fastener Supply tomorrow but I don't know if they have the right size.

It's off the "O" in METEOR.

Don't forget to stock up on all their other goodies at the same time! They have one of the best selections/pricing of fuses out there. Also great for random driver SCRs, header pins, IC sockets, etc.

Maybe someone has a couple kicking around but they're obsolete. LM1875 is a drop in replacement and you can buy them from Digikey for under $5. Order today and you'll have them Tuesday or Wednesday, flat rate shipping $10. https://www.digikey.ca/product-detail/en/texas-instruments/LM1875T-NOPB/LM187...

Re: The History of Nickels and Dimes

What did Americans use besides one dollar bills before they had bill machines attached to pinballs? I went to Boston seven or eight years ago and I bought a couple of subway tokens. The machine gave me my change back in Sacagawea dollars - an American Loonie. Nobody would take them. Most places wou...

Re: PETG washers/plastic protectors in Canada?

If that's the washer that goes between the ice and the player on a super chexx then that will be a brittle plastic like acrylic or lexan. Problem with those is that they won't survive direct ball strikes. The new PETG plastics are awesome for that- much more flexible under a direct impact without sh...

Re: CPR or SHAY backglass ?

A better question to ask is what process they're using. CPR uses a direct-print technique rather than screen print. I'm not sure what Shay uses. I do know that when I ordered a Meteor repro it had a few issues that would definitely bother a perfectionist, although it is worlds better than what I pre...

PETG washers/plastic protectors in Canada?

Is anyone making/selling PETG washers and plastic protectors in Canada? I find it kind of silly that a small bubble envelope sent USPS international lettermail for $2 costs $34USD, but it seems that most of the pinball products sellers are using the same shipping estimation tool in their shopping ca...
