Re: LF Meteor drop targets

Well, you're not buying them from a pinball parts supplier. Shapeways is a prototyping company, and a pinball community member uploaded a 3d model. Option B is buying a knife and a block of maple and hand carving them.

Re: LF Meteor drop targets

Well, Shapeways uses Selective Laser Sintering to print parts that are as durable as the injection-molded originals. It's not cheap tech.

Powder Coating in Ottawa

Can anyone recommend a powder coating outfit in Ottawa? I reached out to Ottawa Powder Coating on Iber, and they want $250 to do four legs… I’ve been in the electrical business a lot of years and that’s the kind of thing known as a “fuck off price.” It’s what you give a customer when you don’t want ...

Re: El Dorado drop targets

You're going to want the schematic.

Every EM game I own I bring the highest resolution picture of the schematic I can find and have Staples print a 14" tall and several feet wide copy on their plotter.

Does anyone have one of the “new process” CPR playfields?

How do they look? Can you see inkjet banding? I know there will be palette dithering in the new process fields, and that’s not something I’m worried about as I know solid colours aren’t easy with their method. I have some CPR backglasses and plastics and the major flaw isn’t in the dithering but in ...

Re: Xenon Playfield Swap

I have a love/hate relationship with CPR. Like, thanks for being there and doing what you do, but also, how is registration always so perfectly wrong in an age of digital accuracy? 4ADB7074-90F6-42E6-B970-1ED3B6F09DC2.jpeg The hole pattern here is rotated about 10° CW of where it needs to sit, causi...

Re: Xenon Playfield Swap

Finally in the home run stretch! Just a couple more plastics to reattach and I need to drop it back into the machine for dialling in. This was such a huge project and I’m happy to be getting close to wrapping it up. 35259C6D-AEBC-4099-9448-BC5538390B71.jpeg 1C0A032A-EEE1-4EBB-A5BD-6969FB364CCF.jpeg

For $200, you can even cut it into hardwood pellets and use it to smoke brisket. Come and get it!

FS: Xenon PF, original, good condition, $200

Anyone want my Xenon playfield?

It’s in pretty good shape but isn’t really a candidate for being put back into a machine.

Unique piece of art for your basement.

Re: Xenon Playfield Swap

Repopulation is coming along nicely. I was going to do the buss wire today but decided to place bulky mechs instead so I can route it better. I know I’ve complained about it before (as has everyone who has done a playfield swap) but CPR really seem to have something about getting the screw divots in...
