Re: laniel automatic

A gang of weathered, knowledgable, cranky, savvy retired guys with pensions who need a place to go any day of the week and feel useful if they choose to. A sort of co-op clubhouse/business project that produces something other than just profit. That glimmer of a project reminds me of the Las Vegas ...

Re: What did you do today in the hobby?

That's a mighty fine pinball bookshelf. There must be a copy of Coin-Op Carnival #1 in there somewhere. I wonder what's the slim white book next to Pinball Memories. I also liked Drop Target Omnibus and Pinball Adventures #1. Pinball Adventure #2 was complete garbage though. One day I'm going to get...

Re: Multicade $2200 ???

I have to admit the Star Wars one has had my interest peaked for a couple months now. I can't see shelling out $600+ for it though. That joystick/yoke isn't something you can replicate well on a RetroPie though. https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/arcade1up-the-star-wars-at-home-arcade-machine-with-custom...

Il va falloir driller le trou de la serrure jusqu'a ce que tu puisses tourner le barillet avec un tourne-vis. Une serrure de remplacement coute $7.

Tu peux trouver de l'information sur pinside, par exemple

Re: CALLING ALL PINHEADS WHO HAVE BOUGHT FROM USA!

When I bought my machine in the US, I asked the seller to keep the ad posted until the end of the day. I also had a typed signed receipt from the seller, a print out of the emails and the exchange bureau slip. They looked at my signed receipt and the emails only. The agent said I was well prepared, ...

You might like the DVD of the Musee Mecanique in San Francisco. I have never seen the DVD so I don't know if it's worth the price.

Don't give up. The vid threads on pinside are enormous, but they are really worth reading.
Ask for Robert in the parts department at Alouette.
Remember, Novus 2 is abrasive. Lots of people use it, but that does not mean it's the right product for the job.

If you don't like un/soldering, it might be easier to just cut the wire just before the solder spot. Keep the wire as long as possible in case the next owner wants to repair it.

I love them when working on the bench, but it's more challenging when working under the playfield.

Electro-mechanical pinballs require oil, but not the solid state machines.
marcospecialties.com calls them Rollover star buttons.
Often, the wax can also be a good cleaner. Make sure you use the right kind of wax. Vid says to stay away from anything containing silicone.

Re: Time to clean my pinball, any simple recommandation?

Indeed, vid is the best source of information you can find. Waxing is good, but not all waxes are good. Read vid's guide carefully. The plastic protecting the playfield is called mylar. Never use water on a playfield, it will make the wood swell and crack the art. A lot of products contain water. Yo...
