Re: Winter is coming

I want to tweak my lineup just a bit to prepare to lock ourselves up in the basement gameroom bunker for the winter as it looks like we may be headed for a long, lonely, and cold winter.

Re: Stern New Avengers: Infinity Quest Pinball Machines

I think this is the first time I am really disappointed that they took something out of the pro. That right ramp makes the game for me and it was completely removed from the pro. I usually have pro .oney and now would need to upgrade to a premium in order to get the ramp. Don't care about a lifting ...

Re: Pinballers Presents: “Craig's Covid Slap Fest" - August 25th to 30th

Someone called the fire department on us. They came and saw we had a propane fire going. I asked if that was why they were called. They said yes. I asked if it was illegal. They said no and said it looked like we were having a fun night and they left. They were not there longer than 30 seconds other...

You are looking at anywhere from $4000 for a players condition to $5500+ for a Mint condition one give or take.

Install a crt monitor now in this arcade1up, you won't regret it ;) :)
I'm pretty sure the cabinet would collapse if I did that. CRT Monitor probably weighs more than the entire 1up cabinet.

Re: Oh. My. God.

Arcade 1up look sweet but they are very far from the real video game arcade experience. I strongly suggest the mame experience that can be almost 100% real for a very reasonnable investment. They are super easy to mod. I have a Mame and a Pandora's Box in one of mine. Screenshot_20200814-145414_Gal...

Re: Oh. My. God.

I have 8 Arcade 1ups in my basement. Would love full sized arcade machines but the wife hates them and I am Pinball first. The 1ups are the perfect compromise. They fill in the spots where Pinball machines don't fit nicely. Even modded one of them to fit a mini Bar Fridge Into it. 20200624_125235.jp...

I have done multiple road trips for games.

Longest was Ottawa to Earlton Ontario And back the same day on two different occasions.

12 hours of driving both times. 7 total games picked up in those two trips.

Re: Craig’s Covid Slapfest - August 26th to 30th

Craig pretty much explained it. It's a fun Social Distance friendly format where qualifying is single player games. Usually each card is a set fee like $5. The more cards played, the more money that goes to the prize pool. Sometimes unlimited cards can be played and sometimes there is a limit like C...

You can start here. There is someone that makes them. You can get on a list for a new one. Once he has enough on the list he will make them and send them out. He has done this a few times.

I have one kicking around somewhere. It has a bunch of games loaded on it and even have a couple USB ports installed on it. It has been sometime since it has been used. It does work. I am in Ottawa as well. I do have a couple of arcade sticks to go with it too.

Re: Playfield Protectors

I highly recommend the product. They are slowly producing ones for old EMs, but if you find they have one for your EM machine it's absolutely essential. Takes away all the issues related to cupped inserts and seals the playfield from future wear. One wonders why it's not a standard offering on newl...

Shipping is ridiculously fast from Germany as well. Before the pandemic I would order on the Monday and it would usually be here by the Friday. Quicker than most places in the U.S.

Here is the link. They also have protectors for plastics etc.

Re: Playfield Protectors

Yeah, I was thinking the same, e.g. that it had an adhesive of some kind. So adding a protective layer of Lexan will help protect any surface, regardless of what's underneath, correct? If so, do you treat the Lexan with a cleaning/buffing product the same way you would with a regular coated playfie...

Re: Playfield Protectors

Playfield protectors are like a very then layer of lexan plastic for the most part. There is no adhesive. You remove the components off of the playfield so you can lay it flat and then put all the parts back on and that's it. Just sits on top of the playfield. And the ball rolls on it rather than th...

Yes it is. Opening next week. Going down to 13 pinball machines and less arcades. Separators and sanitizer at each game. Not sure capacity but will be 50 or less.

Re: Just 1 pinball from the last 2 years ?

The BK Pro is way better than the premuim in my opinion. It is faster, harder and more flow. Premium and LE the ball goes to the upper PF way too much and slows the game down a Ton.

Just my opinion but I have played both. Mine is not going anywhere anytime soon.
