Re: How to make a reasonable offer below the asking price?
Pinball seems a bit different with this stuff. Some people get upset if you offer 9800 on a 10k machine. I've had someone offer me 2 years worth of haircuts for a Supersonic. It wasn't anything I was interested in but it's still an offer. I wasn't offended. If someone offered me 1/2 price? Wouldn't ...

Oh, interesting. I hadn't looked that deep, I just saw the bottom of the PF and realized I had most parts. Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep my eye out for a machine

Stargazer Playfield
I keep missing out when Fantastic Pinball makes these. Wondering if anyone has a Stargazer PF and they've changed their minds on a restore or build. Would like to buy one.

BALLY SPECTRUM working / project / parts
Thinking about building one of these. Wondering what's out there before I begin and find out I could have picked up a working machine and saved myself the time. Looking for backglass, playfield, cab, parts.... working machine. Even a project machine that ISN'T spectrum but from the same era/year ...

I wasn't aware there was generic code. Pretty coolAzatotht wrote: ↑Tue Nov 11, 2025 12:45 pm #4- Install a boardset compatible with Dick Hamill's Retro Pin Upgrade and create a new ruleset![]()
He has an example for a generic machine: https://github.com/RetroPinUpgrade/ExampleMachine

I would try for #2. Atari machines are stunning but awful, you can change that and make something worth playing. If you're open to adding target assemblies could get interesting

Re: Are pros of a top title better than any other Pros?
I have played both AIQ premium and pro and the pro is really good imo. So are you saying that Jurassic Park pro is a better game than Godzilla pro? Not necesseraly a better pro, but a better game? I think if you ask 10 people which Pro is better, 5 will say Godzilla and 5 will say JP, The reason I ...

Re: Are pros of a top title better than any other Pros?
A lot of operators, not all, put Pro's on location as they are easier to maintain from less mechs. I say that because I would say the Pro has less biased ratings as there are more people rating those machines who don't actually own them, whereas LE and Premium ratings are often done by owners. There ...

Re: Storm 23: Stern Lightning new code project
I don't know if you saw, but yesterday on Youtube Dick posted video of his Accessory Lamp Board (ALB), along with the plans and code (various projects). This is what he used to make the Lightning Topper, but it looks like the same board can be used to control the GI lights on Stern machines *AND ...

Re: Storm 23: Stern Lightning new code project
I get my BSOS boards from Troxel, he didn't have an issue shipping to Canada but I guess that may have changed. Well as far as I could tell, Troxel didn't seem to be selling these anymore. The link to his website was dead. Will be interesting to see what you do with it the code, and I'm intrigued ...

Spike II
Don't shoot me, I'm just seeing what's out there. Notice that while the Canadian dollar continues to fall so does used pricing in the US. Seeing Spike II pro's as low as 4k-4500 USD now. Don't expect that here but wondering if there are any 6500-7k cash on the glass Spike II in the wild in Ontario ...

Re: Lightning custom code
I have the code installed. Very nice upgrade. One of the better codes from Dick Hammil. The Trident code is very very good if you have one of those. How to get and install this code please ? I got my BSOS card from TROXEL on Pinside, he also has a website Troxel Repair; https://pinside.com/pinball ...

Thanks for the photos. It's rather odd isn't it? The cabinet and plastics were well done but it makes little to no sense as mentioned above
