I think you also might need a Netflix USA account.

Re: Thoughts on firearms ownership

My thoughts are:
1) I think gun licensing, control and legislation should parallel that of cars.
2) I think 2nd amendment activists have sadly neglected melee weapons!

Re: pinball in the age of fabricators

Thanks for that link. I bet those ones are pretty darn close to EMs, but yeah you'll never quite capture the feel that comes with the original aged components.
But if you want an EM with minimal maintenance, it's a decent option.

pinball in the age of fabricators

Hi, I briefly mentioned this at the last OPL meetup, but I am interested in the future of pinball preservation given the advent on new (and newly affordable) technologies. I want to look towards a future where all pinball machines could easily be recreated in a fashion that would ever push towards t...

I updated the Toronto list over the holidays. Man, Street Fighter 2 is weirdly awesome. So quirky and ugly.

Re: Canadian Public Pinball Tracker

Watch out for Tron! Love the clean flippers, but you can no longer 100% easily catch the eject at the start light cycle multiball. I used to hold it there, let the machine shoot the 2nd ball, hit the ramp with the upper flipper, combo that to the right orbit, and then hit the gem shot.

Re: Gomez Avengers Video

I'm not a fan of toys like the Tessaract Cube, like the Tale of Arabian Nights lamp, especially given it's as open a playfield as Iron Man.
But either way I am still excited to try it out.

The MB structure seems almost inevitable for a game like this though.

Re: Canadian Public Pinball Tracker

I am running V1.02 in my X-men and it is working fine (at Merivale Bowling), The scoop gives what ever is lit or flashing when you put the ball in there. It must be a problem with that particular game, that game was doing that at the Ottawa pinball show too. Good to know, thanks! I swore it was an ...

Re: Canadian Public Pinball Tracker

Also: I was experiencing something odd with the X-Men game. It is X-men pro, running 1.02. The Villain light would be flashing on the eject scoop (and the blue light above it flashing too,) but shooting the ball in there would just have it kick out. Then Extra Ball AND Villain would be lit, but shoo...

Re: Canadian Public Pinball Tracker

I met a guy named Roch at the Orleans Bowling centre. He runs the X-Men there, and TSPP at Vanier, and apparently some in Hull. I sent him the spreadsheet link, so hopefully he will check it out.

Re: pinball games that should of been made

I was thinking about this topic, but more along the lines of... What franchise games do you think are weak, and which franchise would you replace them with? example: Johnny Mnemonic. Would replace with: Blade Runner. 24. Would replace with: The Wire. Big Buck Hunter. Would replace with: Project 51. ...

Re: Stern Avengers are officials !!

The PinballNews page says the LE might be out for the holidays, which I would be extremely surprised to see. Given the number of characters, I really wonder how far they will deviate from the X-Men gameplay template? I'm worried it won't push far beyond it. I will give +1 if they can get over their ...

Looks like TSPP, SST, CV, and SM will be good to go. I will see if I have time to go over TZ so it might be a play at your own risk game. ;) Looks like I probably can't make this one, but at some future one I would love to watch someone do the wizard modes in TSPP. I've never seen them done in pers...
