Re: 2019 Ottawa Pinball Show

Big thanks for another great show, Josh. And everyone that helped! Big thanks to Cait for the growing Pinhistory section. Awesome. Finally got to play Humpty Dumpty and it was more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Gosh, I still owe JF for beating me at Jolly Joker! Williams Regatta was good fun...

Re: Joker Poker For Sale

Sounds odd, but I don't think of it as a '5-ball' game. It is! ... but more like a '5-drop-section' game ... each with a one-ball chance. I know, sounds silly. Love the specific shift in focus each ball. But certainly not 5 chances to do the same thing, like most other pins. The '3-ball' option suck...

Re: THE MAACA DAILY NEWS! Your daily read about YOU,the members!

Arcade game prices are still sky-rocketing but I splurged yet again on a pinball. Heck, I even crossed the border at Niagara Falls to get it!?

Not NIB but fit in the Accord without too much hassle. It plays decent but hope to start the shop-job this weekend. 8-)

Game on!

161685-i.jpg Huh? What time izzit? Oh, it's time for another one of Pat's awesome arcade history doc vids! Yeah, I have the watch. And I owned the pin but didn't really enjoy it. Rare, beautiful game but too limited in gameplay, imho. Below is a vid I made after fix/restoration. But, old-gam...

Re: The history of barbarian the ultimate warrior – video game documentary

Awww, geez, thanks for another flashback! I didn't excitedly recognize Barbarian until I saw the gameplay and vague remember the 'controversy'. Ha! We had this on the C64, I'm guessing. Or maybe an early MS-DOS 'puter. It was '87-ish. Not sure if I completed it or not but remember chopping heads off...

Pretty sure he means this video poker thing: https://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=17971 and not the pin of similar name. Nifty. https://flyers.arcade-museum.com/flyers_video/sms/324000301.jpg https://flyers.arcade-museum.com/flyers_video/kramer/322000201.jpg

Re: Repair Log for the Rock-Ola 446 and Seeburg Entertainer I got from Slither

If you have a chance later, I think many people would probably appreciate pics of your jukes, including some showing the insides such as the carrousel, gripper, selector pins, assemblies, speakers, amp, etc. I suspect quite a few here might never have seen the inside of a jukebox... Yes, please! Gr...

"That's what she said!" lol. Never played the game, bitd, but looks like fun. But I'm hesitant about wanting the 'Deluxe' sit-down cab. Takes up too much space! Maybe just an upright with the X/Y yoke and a bunch of games via mame: Return of the Jedi (and Star Wars, ESB; but they should be...

Re: Pinball machine wanted

I really think that the "projects" presently in stock here at Alouette may be too much work. Add to that the cost of bringing it back up to par, especially as a first pin. ;) Wouldn't want someone new to the hobby to get discouraged. i think Brian will be better off buying off someone her...

Never played or even saw this game bitd. Back in 2009, I remember being tempted by the Exidy 440 Collex'n Kit offered on BYOAC (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=97174.0). But I was new to the idea of a classic home arcade, it wasn't cheap, and good luck finding a cab with the crossbow...

"With great web head history comes great pacmanhq documentaries." ... or great power and great responsibility or sumpthin' like that. Love the bonus 2600 commercial.

Anyway, hope to play and finish the game with my kids one day. But need the board, darnit.

Thanks again, Pat.

Would dig a pair of Rush the Rocks but out of basement room. New drivers are fun too! Don't want to give up pins to make room!

But still love my Super Sprint. Hope to get my Demolition Derby 'island' back together one day. Darn my resto-procrastination.

Really enjoyed this game on our C64, bitd. Pretty sure I finished it fairly quickly but it was great fun. Thanks for the reminder and the entertaining history! I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times. – Bruce Lee Shoryuken!

Re: The history of punch out arcade documentary

Have to admit, bitd, it was very cool to see the Punch-Out vid but I was a 10-year old intimidated by the double screen and controls. 1942 got a lot of my attention in 1984. ... but in 2000, I did enjoy playing 'Ready 2 Rumble Boxing' on our Dreamcast. Gosh, now I want the Wii Punch-out. Than...
