Re: Congo

Anyway, you need to spend more than 10 minutes on it to discover all the cool stuff John Trudeau stuffed into this fast game. Great, under-rated game that I don't see myself tiring of anytime soon. Only game Trudeau made for Williams that is any good in my book and that includes CFTBL, Judge Dud, a...

Re: Hard to sell pins......

I don't think Fish Tales should be on that list, I don't think it's that hard to sell, but I agree with everything else. I agree w/ Adam on this one. I had a nice Fish Tales and had no problem selling it for a fair price. I've just bought another and they are really, really hard to find in nice sha...

Re: Congo

All games that I have I had not played or barely played before I purchased them. I bought them on sound advice and it so happened that I enjoy playing all of them. This is a hobby, not a business and I am not in it for profit at all. I have not flipped any machines and I don't nickle and dime anyon...

I agree w/ BSD, Flintstones, and CFTBL. Not a fan of any of them. CFTBL is ok once in awhile, but the other two. No thanks.

Re: EPIC game of TSPP

Congrats Duane! I've got to play this pin someday soon! Or own it ;) Pete Get your butt back to Ottawa for a visit and stop over :-) It really is a fantastic game. Re: Congo

What I think is missing here is what is your motivation: Why are buying this game? If you like the pin and enjoy playing it.........buy it and pay market value. You will get years of enjoyment. If you have ADD, then listen to the comments about resale value, but games that are easier to sell. If yo...

Book was better than movie.

The pinball was also released significantly after the movie which really makes you wonder what they were thinking.

Re: Congo

Folks get sensative when prices are discussed. To start with, I'm assuming you are buying from a non-collector. In that case, you will always end up putting some money in the machine AND have to shop it. So I'm giving some allowance for that. And folks read what I said, "f you can snag a Congo ...

Re: Congo

If you can snag a Congo in the $1,200 range you are doing well. In the $1,600 range you will have more trouble selling it down the line as there are too many other pins in that price range. That's my .02.

Thanks Mark and Jonny_eh!

Big thanks to Mark and Jonny_eh for the Hot Shots sitting in my garage! Mark sold me the game for a very fair price -- I didn't haggle on his asking price -- and brought it to Starburst. Next Jonny picked it up and brought it to Ottawa. I understand there were also some helping hands at Starburst --...

Re: Nascar and Dale Jr - comments

Fun games and can be found for a decent price. Worth considering if you like the theme. I enjoyed it when ME had one. She got tired of the game and sold it.

Personally I like the look of Nascar over the Dale Jr., but would consider either if the price was right and I had space.

After speaking with the manager at SB, she said that they are looking at this very pin to offer it to their customers. I like this idea and it can only help a business when they have options and not just a single provider. Suuuuurrreee....like offering a Lada for the same price as a Toyota. I reall...

I'm bumping this as I am now in the same boat as Jon. I need to get a game from Toronto to Ottawa. The game can be brought to the Starburst auction. Anyone going willing to bring something back? Of course, cash provided.

Re: So, I found my girlfriends limits

Even in those scenarios there should be discussion. Marriage is about mutual respect and understanding. If...
