I guess the point Megadeth1977 wants to say is "Why would you ever do that to your pinball in home use?"...

I have done it to 4 of my games two of which have never had a ball.touch the PF as they were installed right out of the box.

The games play great. You just have to install properly.

This is why I do it.

Do you do the install yourself or have someone else do it? Looks like a it would take a VERY steady hand.

Yes I do them myself. Depending on the game it can be easier or harder. You have to remove flippers, ramps, spinners, and anything that prevents you from laying them down flat.

Stern Jurassic Park was by far the hardest to do. Well worth it in my opinion. I have not really noticed a difference in gameplay with or without protectors.

I originally bought it to protect the playfield from wear and dimpling with a view to maintaining resale value. I love my imdn so much that it is now bolted to the floor, and no plans to move it along. If it dimples I don’t care because it plays awesome.
That said, I have played Mike’s protected games, and there was no noticeable difference in play to mine... they all play great.
Just offering it up for sale in case anyone wants to take on the challenge of installing it and wants to save a few bucks from ordering over seas....
If it doesn’t sell no biggie, I may install it someday when I eventually shop the game.
