Dead Operator Coil Sale

As more and more people retire, or die (sort of the same thing in many cases), lots of stuff tends to come up from backrooms, basement and drawers.

Let us be more subtle here since I knew that family pretty well, all the way back to the days of Laniel, so when a long gone operator's offspring like Robert Surprenant "exits the scene" it is good to know what to keep and what to throw out, he did not. What I understand is that he was having coffee one morning at home as usual, but this time it was tilt and game over, he was pretty healthy guy overall. Just time to go I guess, - so exit stage right, - indeed. And so I end up with lots more parts that I will be offering at lower prices to those who can use them, all down the line as the saying goes.

I am an expert at sorting pinball parts, I know what breaks and what fails and around when, so understanding this, (or at best working off that belief), I know what is junk and won't be failing anytime soon, so those parts simply gets thrown out. What is left is to be considered as useful in the near future depending on how long we are going to live and how long people want their machines to have original (OEM) replacement parts handy.

Coils are another story, they fail a little more often than let's say a sling shot or pop bumper bracket (time is not the only factor, but also vibration being more influential to theri demise) and sometimes, you can add negligent techs who are not smelling the coffee in time.

All single winding coils below are 10$ and all dual windings are 15$ until stock expires like all of us eventually will, so hurry up.

The newer Stern and WMS flipper coils are 20$ (these come from another defunct operator, not the one above)

Definitely flipper coils Bruce, dual windings.

Would check the manual for Space Riders for the correct part number, may be several different windings for Atari pins, can't remember for sure.

Jesus, certainly hope not Marc, if the coils were the cause of death, I would be dead ten times over considering the amount of these windings I handle weekly.

I would put my money on coffee and cigarettes as the culprits. Personally I do miss smoking Dunhills, but no more of that, makes for a shitty death. So I guess coffee will likely contribute to my downfall, and I always make sure that it is real good coffee.
