Used Playfield Glass - FOUND

Post by Chris Silver »

I require a used playfield glass for a 1976 Williams EM pinball machine. It doesn't have to be very pretty. ;)

Thanks

Sweet. I only need one lol Now it's just a matter of time before I make it out your way again. I have to drop some Lexan off to Cait001 in the near future as well. :)

oooh, Lexan. How thick should a polycarbonate sheet be to make plastic protectors?
Home Depot sells 0.093in thick, is that right?

I have a badly scratched glass. I was going to toss it. Should fit an EM. Let me know if you want it. I'm in Barrhaven.

The only thing I know is that plastic protectors aren't cheap. The thickness sounds ok but I'm not sure what material is required. Do they not have the ability of altering gameplay?

The ball is supposed to hit the rubber ring. The protector is there in case of air balls. How could that affect gameplay?

I've never used them. I thought they were a bit lower.

From what I've seen, they take the place of the existing plastic which now sits on top.
They work by thickening the plastic cross section, or by overextending the original dimensions.
