Zaccaria 7 Reel Scoring Assembly

Post by MIkea »

Looking for a 7 reel scoring assembly ( the unit in the cabinet on the left side) for a Zaccaria Moon Flight pin. Other 1player Zaccaria and Williams assemblies from the same era may also work. Any condition, leads or advice appreciated.

That looks like it may work. I know the notches are the critical element- any idea if they are universal? If you think this will fit, I’m definitely interested for sure. Are you willing to ship?

They are not universal but Zaccaria used williams electromechanical design. Alot of parts are interchangeable between ZZZ and WMS.

Here is a comparison of the score motor map for moon flight and a Williams of the same era. The "notches" are in the same relative position in both.

If there's a subtle difference between both that would make the parts incompatible, I dont know. Your call.

I can ship if needed. PM me for the details.

Thanks so much for the part Pindude!

Now looking for the various leaf switches above the reels- the damage is worse than I originally thought....

You could change the molten / missing nylon leaf switch lifters
Marco has them in different sizes

Good call! Most of them are melted so I’ll just order a bunch of sizes and experiment a little.
Do they have the ones on the bottom leaf as well? I can’t tell from the photos of the elongated ones have the little triangle shaped protrusion that registers into the notches in the reels.
Thanks for pointing these out- I was just searching for the switches themselves and couldn’t find anything. I never thought they would sell just the spacers.

Williams part A-6367
John's jukes has them on their website.

Maybe you best bet is to find some donor score motor switch stacks. Judging by the pictures, looks like there was a lot of heat.
My concern is that the nylon tubes for the switch stacks might have melted also, that would cause weird short circuits, turning troubleshooting into a wild goose chase.
