FS: parting out a Sega Monaco GP

Post by Sparky »

Hate to do it, as I have enjoyed it, but it is falling apart and I won't restore it.

I have a working Super Monaco GP upright that is working, but cab is dead. So, other than the monitor (which I am keeping), everything else is pretty much available.

I am not looking to make a gazillion dollars here. I will be straight-honest, I paid 150$ for the entire game and I just put a monitor in it and it played fine. So, may the parts help someone else.

I have the control panel with steering. Complete and working, so is the shaker motor. Shifter paddles are loose as I think the return springs may be dead, but switches work.
Pedal assembly, complete and working.
Working PCB.
Plastic "Formula 1" marquee (a bit rough but no missing bits... just faded and some small cracks).
FRESNEL LENS. No scratches on it. Perfectly intact. With the wood frame. This is that magnifying lens used on a few games. Good luck finding one if you have yours missing in a game.. oh, wait... HERE'S ONE! LOL
Bezel glass and cardboard
Moldings and edges if desired.
Rear panels, including monitor cover
Speaker grills

Whatever you need, let me know. Everything except the wood cab. Nature will slowly reclaim that. LOL But hell... if you want the side of a cab as a wall decoration, sure. I can cut that.

I am located near Montreal, Canada and can ship anywhere. Cost of shipping will be what the post office says.

PM me.

PS: If you want the entire thing, other than the monitor, sure. But I am taking it apart. Total would be 150$. I am not shipping the whole game. You come get it. LOL Or come pick parts

Hey sparky, you still have these parts laying around?
Especially the pedal assembly.

I'll be doing work on my cabinet soon and will use the opportunity to add more controls... I'd be interested in the pedal assembly. And maybe the footrest/kick guard if it's still in shape.

I have the pedal mechanism but not the pedal itself. I am home on Friday back from business in Newfoundland. I will dig it up. I also still have the steering wheel.

I also have another semi-complete mame driver cabinet if you want. Pedals and all. Best offer takes it.

Im in business in Ontario until at least next week, so there's really no rush.

I already have a steering and shifter so what I'm really looking for would be a pedal.
How's the mechanism? Maybe I could make up the pedal part for it or find a replacement?

I'm curious about this semi-complete racing mame - I am not looking for a cabinet at this point... What's "semi complete" for you?

Thanks a lot.

Missing a computer. Everything else pretty much there.

The pedal mechanism is just missing a pedal plate.

Any parts left from this teardown? Pedal mechanism and steering and control board are of interest if it's still kicking about. Thanks in advance.
