As more and more boomers retire, or begin to die (sort of the same thing in some cases), lots of stuff tends to come up from backrooms, basement and drawers. I was stunned at how many N.O.S. parts are surfacing as the old operators who made a good living back in the day go off to the big rock candy mountain. Their kids don't want this stuff, and certainly not their wives, so old shops and shelving get dumped. So still being a parts geek and all, I often end up with lots more parts. I was amazed to find so much stuff at the Church of the Silverball's meet last weekend, it is almost overwhelmeing, so being able to sort out this stuff in the next month or so I will be offering these at lower prices to those who can use them, - all down the line as the saying goes.

Montreal Pinball Webstore https://amusement.evolvo.com/

or the better way and much more fun, call me man, just call me. Tell me how the frag you are doing and what you are working on, it is important to be connected in more concrete ways than behind keyboards. :wave

I am an expert at sorting pinball parts, I know what breaks and what fails and around when, so understanding this, (or at best working off that belief), I know what is junk and won't be failing anytime soon or in what is left of my lifetime, so some parts simply gets thrown out. What is left is to be considered as useful in the near future depends on how long one is going to live and how long people want their machines to have original (OEM) replacement parts handy.

Coils are another story, they fail more often than let's say a rollover switch, and feel free to add a negligent route tech as a factor of not smelling the coffee in time.

SO -

All single winding coils below are 10$ and all dual windings are 15$ until stock expires like all of us eventually will, so hurry up.

The newer Stern and WMS flipper coils are 20$ (these come from another defunct operator)

All coils are new old stock, OEM for sure. So pick up only, cash and carry at Montreal Pinball or anywhere along my path when I am on the road Tuesdays and Thrusdays and Saturdays, I am all over the GMA and now more often in eastern Ontario than usual these days, so check with me first at 330-5555 or at the office 514-342-9111 on the other days.

A late find after the move to this new office.

Brand new in the box and obviously never used despite the best intentions of the old location/business. - SOLD

I don't think I have knowingly played any machines with "hardtops". Maybe some of you have, so feel free to voice your opinions, positive or negative. I just like the way it looks as you come into the small lobby which will eventually house a few machines in order to accentuate the look of the space one walks into.

In the end I would think that these plastic overlays are better than a worn out surface, obviously cheaper than a replacement playfield.

Asking 300 bones CAD, have the box it came in so I can ship by Canada Post if need be.

Always surprised to find parts that never found their intended place. That is why I created this thread when I began working at Alouette in May 2018, and I continue to find it relevant to post stuff here.

I am a self-admitted parts geek, so working in that messy place full of ins and outs and confusion and junkie like nooks and crannies was like being a school boy in a New Orleans brothel. (excuse the analogy, I am feeling funky, lucky & glad today).

So some amusement machine part not finding its place can mean a couple of things -

1) No bin location for that SKU on those various parts shelves, so the part(s) ended up sitting in a box of mismatched "one offs" during the closure of 8505 Delmeade (Alouette) and didn't make it to the springtime parts sale we did before selling the building, it rained that day inside and out.

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=27667&hilit=alouette

And as these N.O.S. parts now come up for air and fall under my scrutiny, I am tickled pink to sell them off cheap so I don't have to create a bin location here at the new office. Therefore, look out Big Mama Thorotons, I am coming for ya !
or
2) That some client long ago ordered a non stocked item and never picked up because (s)he doesn't have the machine anymore or (s)he is simply lost and/or confused.
or
3) Alouette had the machine long ago, ordered some parts to make it look better and those parts never made it to the service dept. in time before sales sent the thing out the door before it was ready. Typical, - so I am putting my money on that one.

Lots of shit has happened over the years and can still happen and may as well continue to happen, all oxymoronic certainties, but I assure you that the stupid shit will eventually stop as I catalogue all these parts and try to give them proper homes. I was damn busy with service calls for a large part of the summer and was kinda glad to get away from sorting parts after the big move out of 8505. So now, as we "get back to school", I realize that there is still much work left to do in parts in order to support my home service activities and more importantly in order to make it to the big rock candy mountain in a purposeful & satisfying way.

Yabo !!

Done Phil, - found a couple more things today and will try to post them here.

And as far as coming up with wise words, it is getting easier to do as so many people seem to be getting dumber. Hell, I had to fire two of my clients (to use Steve Young's phrase) last week for prentending to know what I was hired to do as I was fixing their machines. The verbiage coming out of their mouths simply blew my mind, I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

Then I understood that people lie because they simply don't believe in themselves, (imagine spending all your time lying), others steal because they can't get ahead any other way, and some cheat repeatedly to feel they are winning while having no interest in cultivating merit or talent, - takes too long and time is running short I am told. So yes, this may well be a new age, but the only thing that you can still take with you when you die is your reputation.

More shit has come to light at 8500 Chemin Delmeade, or should I say, in a less crude way, that more parts have surfaced.

I was blown away last month when the accountant actually asked what the value of the parts & equipment inventory was (for real) - so am doing a real inventory for year end, (yes you heard right), a really true down to earth inventory with numbers, quantities, landed cost and sale prices, something not so habitual or regimented at Alouette hitherto, so I am inevitably finding stuff once again.

Using Marco as a reference so you can actually see the details of the part up for sale

1) PCB (Say it Again sound board assy) p/n AS-2518-81-PB - 100$ - SOLD
Ref - https://www.marcospecialties.com/contro ... 2518-81-pb

2) Translite for Gottlieb Surfin' Safari - 40$
Ref - https://www.marcospecialties.com/contro ... =28494-731

3) Bookcase for Addams Family Gold - 3 part numbers sold as a set - 03-8621-1 / 03-8622-1 / 03-8623-1 - 50$
Ref - start here - https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinbal ... /03-8623-1

4) Vortex corkscrew ramp for Pinbot. The one we have is black, not blue or red so not sure where that went, likely Jackbot, regardless, looks like the same mould, different colour same part, correct me if I am wrong - 125$
