Gottlieb Arena retains only the highest score

Not sure if this is how system 80b is but my Arena retains only the highest score and resets the others to 0 when I turn it off.

So it’s not a battery issue, is it normal ? How can I fix this ?

I can’t get into settings right now because I am missing the switch, might be a setting as well ?

You can't short the wires with aligator clips to emulate the switch?

Probably can yeah, just got a picture of that button and seems like a pretty simple one.

I do not have the Arena game manual, however the 1986 Gold Wings manual (another System 80B game)
indicates the following for the MPU switch 6:
