Well, status update:

This is what I have:

Stern Galaxy
- works 100% and kicks ass! I have it steep so it is really fast.

Stern Freefall
- haven't got to it yet. Needs massive cleaning, but runs!

Stern Seawitch
- I will probably get it out of the gameroom. Deal went sour. MPU is freezing and I haven't looked at it much

Stern Quicksilver
- I installed some boards in it, but I don't have a good M200 MPU available right now. Voltages are all OK and it lights up, Good sign.

Stern Big Game
- kick-ass 100% working! Beautiful machine...

Williams Space Shuttle (my son's pin)
- Needs 2 displays and a shop job, but otherwise plays 100%

Bally Fathom
- long term project. Cab redone and playfield swap near complete.

Bally Silverball Mania
- in the shed. LONG project

Gottlieb Genesis
- I got this sunday. Needs a shitload of cleaning but runs. The ball release coil was weak and wasn't letting a ball out. I cleaned and adjusted the coil, put in a new sleeve and reinstalled it. It worked for 2 games and now is dead. I have to figure it out. I do have voltage to the coil and I have 16 ohms through it, so the coil is good. Could be a funky interboard connector or a wiring issue.

Sega Turbo
- runs great but I have to let it warm up for 5 minutes prior to playing it. Has a graphic problem but once warm it is 100%

Exidy targ
- no sound, but otherwise 100%. I haven't looked at it much.

I am gradually cleaning up the gameroom. Still has customer cabs in it, but it's thinning out...

Nice line up, I should go and help you clean up that Genesis since I can't get transport for mine from Kitchener  I guess I have to be patient but you all know what it is to have a pin that far away just waiting to come to its new home!!!

Keep on having fun and take care

Well, I have 2 sets of ramps for Genesis, so I am set for a while. The only thing I ordered for it is a new translite. The original ones are always heavily yellowed.

I will fix that dead coil tonight and play a bit.

And Big Game is in great shape. Backglass is great, no red flaking. Playfield is starting to show a bit of flaking but I will clearcoat it later. Cab is great, other than a small wood chip in front (my fault, when I brought it in). coindoor had already been repainted. I just changed the legs on it with a set I recently sandblasted and repainted to the original Stern silver hammer paint. I also added the Stern decal on it.

Probably the nicest BG I have seen in years. Plays really fast!

Yeah yeah... I know. Like I said, it is a huge mess down there right now. Let me clean it up first. I still have Loafer's 2 cabs down there that I have to paint. once I clean up, I will post pics. Long weekend coming... I should be done by then.

LOL... and I might have to sell one more to cover the offset of not having a paycheck for a month. I might just sell the Seawitch at an insanely ridiculous price... who knows. ;)

Genesis all fixed! Just a weak solder on the transistor just below the ball release coil. It probably broke when I lifted the coil out to clean it. It tested OK with a multimeter but it couldn't handle the coil current I guess.

Quicksilver LIVES! In between playfield work and backglass work, I tought I would replace the hacked-to-shit power supply board on it and re-pin all it's connectors.

Looks like it's the first time it works in 20 years! it's like the Freefall. Everything needs to be cleaned. So chances are that prior to the November meeting, I will organize a "shop party". I have some buddies over, I pay the pizza and beer and we all fix the games!

So... the breakdown:

Galaxy: 100%
Big Game: 100%
Seawitch: on the way out
Freefall: needs major cleaning/shop job
Quicksilver: needs major cleaning and shop job
Space Shuttle: needs minor shop job and displays
Genesis: needs minor shop job

I also have a new vid in the house, but it needs work. I will do my best to get it ready for the meeting. I have a feeling it will be popular.

Almost 4 fucking years... Sparky's Power Room may be reactivated again...

My parents are moving out of my basement on June 1st... I will have 26+ machines to set up and start repairing WAY easily compared to hauling them up the stairs one by one and trying to fix them. The real-life-pinball version of gameroom Tetris ends soon.
Now playing in Sparky's Power Station: Way too much shit...

I totally understand how you feel! Before I moved to where I am now, I was repairing my projects on the kitchen table and in the living room same went for the mechanical parts of my westfalia bus.
