Very cool. Are you both fans of the game? I checked some YouTube videos of it after I posted. Interesting that there are 4 eject holes in the bottom half of the PF.

Marathon looks interesting. What a striking cabinet it has, with the curved front bar.

Cait, We are both fans of the WC'78 game, for different reasons. Let's just say they will be 2 different treats in 2015.

Marathon x 2 came home from Allentown in 2014. Both will go to Sparky's basement for the full treatment. We would like
them both fully restored for when they turn 60 in 2015, but we will have to see. There is a lot on the agenda for Ian already.

Chris, the Elektra pin is my favourite Bally of that era. There is my very nice one in Ian's basement, and perhaps the project one.
Not sure if the project one of Ian's was traded or sold. I too have lost count keeping up.

The idea with these duplicate pins at first was just to buy better examples, but then it became a quest for Ian and I to have
pins that were duplicates in QC and ON so we can play 6-10 of the same games when we travel back and forth a few times a year.

I remember he sold it. I don't recall where it went. It was "frankensteined" together, but still would have been cool.

Ressurection... a slow process, but very rewarding.

After moving around 30+ machines in order to see what needs to be refreshed wall-wise, I started replacing whatever copper plumbing I had left to replace before closing up the ceiling for the next 20+ years. I only have some hot water circuits left to do. Next weekend...

Now... just a couple more walls to tear down, and 120+ legs to go over in order to set some pins up.

To be more precise:

WILLIAMS
Black Knight x2
Firepower x2
Flash x2
World Cup x2
Time Warp x2
Alien Poker
Sorcerer
Grand Lizard
Solar Fire
Hyperball
Gorgar
Algar
Jungle Lord
Space Shuttle (at Azatotht's)
Space Station (at Murrsky's)
BSD

BALLY
Fathom
Rolling Stones
Flash Gordon
Dolly Parton
Elektra x2 (one at Azatotht's)
Bumper x2
Showtime
HI-Lo Ace

STERN
Flight 2000
Trident x2

GOTTLIEB
Target Alpha
Marathon x2

DATA EAST
TMNT

ZACCARIA
Robot

So that is roughly 36 pins HERE, plus the Crossbow, Cosmic Avenger and Wizard of Wor vids. But don't get the idea that these are mine. Not at all... call me a custodian for a good friend's machines, and restorer of many. ;)

And shortly, I will set them ALL up.

The advantage of setting them up after is that it makes it easier to fix and maintain them after. A couple of games every week will keep them in perfect shape.

Who needs an arcade. LOL

Man, I am really happy for you Ian, use the space man, use the space.

Nothing is better than open space, except maybe more space to do stuff.

Well, after taking a closer look at what's around that closet by the entrance, I have decided to take it out. It would be more hassle to try and work around it than anything else. The most critical thing is that the plumbing for the kitchen sink upstairs passes right above the closet, and it would be impossible to update that plumbing with the closet in place. The previous owner went a little apeshit with his framing and completely hid the copper pipes with 2x4s. Brilliant.

So... tonight, out it goes.

I ripped out a lot of sheetrock around it. I just need to do some very minor rewiring... 2 outlets to move... no biggie. It's actually going to be a positive thing. I found a hidden junction box (a big no-no) feeding the outlets, so by repositioning them, I will eliminate the junction box.

So tonight, more sheetrock removal and old framing removal.

Tomorrow, step 1, go get some ceramic tiling to match the one in the original gameroom area. Step 2, move the vids from the garage to the basement in order to clear the garage up and turn it back to what it was originally intended for... an office and playfield restoration area.

Buh-bye closet... ;)

Executive decision... makes it easier to fix up the remaining plumbing, and it is quicker than to fix water damage. ;)

I should update this thread, shouldn't I?

Well, following a mice problem, and my wife wanting me to clean up the mess, I started ripping out more crap and renovating things. I started putting the ceiling back up in my gameroom, and the apartment my parents had, which became an extension to the gameroom, is now again an apartment. Guests will no longer sleep in my kids' rooms (no more princess bed for Warlock and Drano LOL). I keep an area where pins I have to work on are set up. Easy to work on, easy to get out. Sad part? All MY machines are stored. So be it... I rarely play anyways.

I'll post pics soon... just more clean-up to do.

Well, it took a while, but I am now cured of the Toronto gameroom syndrome... I put up insulation and sheetrock. LOL ;)

No more bad plumbing... no more mice... no more bad wiring... no more lack of lighting.

Just mudding and painting left.
