This evening I was sitting in the arcade, playing my favorite bingo machine: Carnival Queen. I scored 120, with 3 in the yellow section. I looked to my right and thought: "Whoa, Time Warp". Here is a snap shot of the view. Enjoy!
Bally Carnival Queen, Miss Universe, Golden Gate and Surf-Club Bingo.

Excellent game selection! I love the bingos myself. A three card, a screen game, an off-the-wall 18 hole and the Surf Club with the Double Hold feature? Amazing collection.

I note that you have a Super Wall Street. To us in the States, there is not much known about them. The game has the same features and gameplay as a Bally Bali, but with different artwork. Do you know much about it? I've never seen one in someone's collection. Do your manual and schematics show "Super Wall Street"? I'm wondering if this was a conversion game, or if Bally actually produced a number of them.

Woah, pindude actually has TWO Super Wall Streets, if not he hasn't sold one. :)

From that thread:
What I liked best about Super Wall St was that it was a Bali with a new backglass - New name = new game! Bali was illegal in some jurisdictions but no such law existed naming Super Wall Street so it was ok to own. Mine had evidence stickers compliments of the RCMP on the lockdown bar!

Thanks for the welcome and excellent info cait001! Much appreciated. Still interested to know - were they sent complete from the Bally factory that way?

Normally when a game made a law enforcement 'list', the operator would scrape the name or features off of the glass, usually cutting the associated feature out.

Occasionally, groups of operators would band together and screen their own glasses. These did not retain the Bally name or logo. Super Wall Street is a bit of an oddity - did Bally just send out replacement glasses to operators that were to be affected by the change in law?

Also, interesting to note: I've seen two Bali-s here in the States, but none with a backglass. Haha!

Sorry for all the questions out of the gate. :-)

At the moment I have 3 complete Super Wall streets.

As far as I know, what I've heard, the Super Wall Street backglass is a conversion kit. An operator could buy it as a large sticker he could apply himself to a piece of glass. Up here you can find this game in both versions Bali and Super Wall Street, but most bali BG's I've seen were in poor condition.

The scan of the Bali manual I have has Wall Street as the name at page 1
screen grab of a Bali manual

The current Bingo/ gambling machine is FYI

Super wall Street (x3)
Surf Club (x2)
Carnival Queen
Miss Universe
Golden Gate
Coney Island
Sea Island (x2)

UMC Singapore
WMS Spark Plugs
WMS Four corners

Thank you! That is excellent info! I thought they were just moving too fast and misprinted the Bali manual since Wall Street (the 6 card) came out the same year. Happened a lot in various schematics and manuals (and even games like Silver Sails and Golden Gate - wrong glasses and playfields!).

Cheers!
I am happy to unveil my new game room setup for my Man Cave (traduction libre: Homme Cave).
Less Machines, more space. I reworked the space so people can move more freely.

People who know me as more than just a forum handle and an avatar know I've been working on the setup for awhile now.
I am happy with the result. Simple basement arcade, concrete floor, cinderblock walls, you know where my priorities are ;)

My hope is to organise Thursday or Friday night PW's every once in a while.
If you are interested, please send me a PM, I will add it to a PW mailing list.
Enjoy the pictures!

I should have a pitch and bat game down there. Might be an idea for a future purchase.

I had the pleasure of seeing this basement of wonders in person at last night's pow-wow... and "wow" is indeed the word for it! A unique and special collection for sure. It was a pleasure hanging out with faces familiar and not. I didn't shoot many photos, but here are a couple...
PowWow chez J-F 1024.jpg
R.A.B. playing a Golden Gate bingo whilst Pindude152, tonysoprano (and I think ShootAgain hidden behind him, or was that Chris Silver?) look on.
PowWow chez J-F - Rob at Golden Gate bingo 1 1024.jpg
R.A.B. still going for the big payout on Golden Gate.

Not far from the truth James. It's fantastic you took pictures cause I was too busy staring at things. It was a great night with a great group of people and a great environment. JF's collection is nothing short of a wonderland.

At moments his basement is almost surreal.

Thanks again JF. :-)

Thanks for the great night JF.
It was my first PW and I really enjoyed to see all these good people.
Great variety of machines from different era. The wireless tennis board game was really fun. Its a shame that I didnt play one of your bingo..it will be for next time.

Mes coups de coeur de la soirée vont à Interflip Dragon et mes discussions avec Jess.
It's only Pinball! Carry on, BUCKO!
