Saved from a part-out... Black Pyramid

Post by Sparky »

So... last year, I picked up a Black Pyramid...

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2511&p=210919&hilit ... id#p210919

It had perfect displays, a good MPU and most other boards OK, a super nice playfield and very nice cab... but, no backglass. And the original plan was to part it out. Parts are parts....

But... seems like my choice to do so raised a stink... so... I decided to work on it.

I dragged it out of storage not so long ago, and had the MPU gone over. I also bought a (pricey but great) new backglass to replace the flaked out non-existent one.

And so, the adventure now begins. A quick shop job and some minor hacks to fix, and she will be 100%.
Patron saint of lost pinball causes.

Stage 5B. All except for NIB crap.

Always love to hear the story of another machine getting saved!

The internet might be a horrible thing, but at the very least it's allowed so many varied talented people to come together. We now have people making backlgasses, cabinet stencils, formed ramps of all types, re-engineered circuit boards, and more. So much can and should be diverted from the scrap bin, and hurray to everyone helping keep these alive.
