Check these gnarly 68 year old degrading blocks of rubber/foam
Any ideas for replacing these? 2 of them.
7/8" thick x 2.5" x 2.25"
Also there is this bent metal piece. Any advice for restoring its shape and strength? I don't think it should have any bend at all. the plunger on the left is the reset mech and it needs to push the metal piece all the way forward.

yeah I think if the thickness is the same it would work fine. It is there to limit the back and forth motion, and avoid abrasion to the mechanism.Fifty wrote:Could you replace it with really dense foam? I have access to some that I could share with you.

The foam I have is very dense but it can be cut easily. I'm not sure if it would work but I think it would be worth a try. Send me a PM or email on Monday and I'm bring some home. If you're at TARG Wednesday I can pass it off to you there.cait001 wrote:yeah I think if the thickness is the same it would work fine.
