Bally rapid fire

Postby steamfitter » Tue Jan 22, 2019 12:04 pm

I put rapid fire back on legs and started removing parts and cleaning them.
I got the joystick panel all apart and cleaned .
How would you restore the panel , clear coat , wax any better ideas.
It's not painted it's a sticker.

Merci
Thanks

Denis

It depends on how far you want to take things but I would give it a wipe with a light solvent like Naptha. That will give a few seconds of what it would look like cleared. My guess is the colours will pop quite a bit if it was cleared. Mylar would protect it but unless you really heat it up it would not lay down and wet the surface fully. This would be a good candidate Spray Max. I did a playfield at a local auto shop and let them take care of spraying.

I would honestly say scan it and have it reproduced. Once made, strip the panel, get rid of the rust, paint it and apply the decal.
Stage 5B. All except for NIB crap.
