New:

Unfortunately I have to take a brief pandemic pause. The new flipper plate I ordered for the second one needs 10-32 screws and I've finally used my entire stash. Put in a curbside pickup order at home depot for hardware and I'll just have to wait.
I also kept the original style of flipper mechanism in my fathom playfield swap
will probably do the same on the the centaur ( i like to have things original if possible for the era )
also put all new coil wrappers :thumbup

Lots of people convert the old Bally games to williams fliptronic style... ( like Mike at neighborhood pub)...while it is a better design, I am purist and prefer the linear mechs... makes it harder to slap save etc...
I rebuilt my EBD flippers to original style, as I remember playing it.

Bah! Look how shiny mine are! I could never change them up.

Perhaps if parts became scarce I might convert them to the older generation of Bally, but a dialled-in set of linear flippers is what Centaur really called for.

Neither! Both pulled out of the same game, but the one on the left was the low point where "fluids" dripped over the years. It was the rustiest and crustiest part of the game.

I put a new coil stop in. Has anyone noticed that the stops from PBR aren't precisely vertically aligned with the originals? Every time I install one the plungers bind against the sleeve until I realign everything. Sometimes I even have to bend the mounting plate.

Centaur's whip is now mine! Taken with minimal blood loss and only a few burns. Straight into the dishwasher tomorrow morning.

Even screws and other fasteners get a dip in the ultrasonic bath. Why replace perfectly good hardware?

AHAHAHA CPR STRIKES AGAIN

This whole line of lamp holes was milled so close to the edge that they’re obstructed by the playfield bracket. Off by almost a centimetre.

I’m really not sure how I’m going to deal with this yet.

The video game i want to play is always the one i don't have :FP:
Les arcades, j'suis tombé d'dans quand j'tait pti !! :-)

Progress. All the mechanisms installed, moved the new playfield to the rotisserie.

I’ll staple down buss wiring tomorrow.

Motherfucker.

The holes aren’t even drilled out large enough for the original lamp sockets.

I think I’m going to cry.
