TZ gumball machine motor wires ??

Post by GILV »

I just finished polishing the metal parts of my gumball machine and while I was rebuilding it the 2 wires from the motor broke, I have no idea which side goes where.
Does it make a difference whether they are on the left or right side? Will the motor spin on reverse if I connect them up side down?
I removed the motor as well, so, maybe it was assembled the other side as well (which made no difference when srewing it back on the assembly) so if you post a picture of yours for example: with the red wire on the left side it won't help me, the only advice that will help is if someone knows if connecting them the other way round will make the mechanism reverse.
I want to make sure before I power up the game.
Thank you for letting me know if you know. :)

I found this picture on the net, which indicates 2 small dents on the plastic part of the motor that are at top right side and another at bottom left side, mine is mounted exactly the same with red wire on left and black wire on right.
I'm good and safe, I'm sure I'll be alright.

By the way, if someone ever encounters this problem, someone on Pinside said that if the wires are criss cross, the motor will run backwards, so it's very important to connect them the right way.
