Williams license acquired by Zen Studios

Postby cap » Tue Sep 04, 2018 8:40 am

Now we know what happened to the license Farsight lost back in June.
thisweekinpinball.com reports the Williams/Bally pinball license was acquired by Zen Studios, the makers of Pinball FX3.

Coolio. I bought them all for Steam before the license expired. I barely ever touch digital pinball though, tbh. But I do love it as a resource to review the rules with a fine-tooth comb.
Happy to know that the classic tables will continue getting exposed to new generations.

This is interesting. I have all the tables on TPA as well. I am interested to see how the same tables play on each platform. I have always thought that TPA has always felt more realistic. Will be interesting to try them on ZEN.

So in the end it all comes down to money. Zen's offer must have been pretty juicy.

Malade! J'ai hâte de voir le rendering/lighting de leur table. L'engin de Zen est pas mal plus beau en général. Les graphiques de Pinball Arcade n'étaient vraiment pas au niveau des standards actuels, et leur UI était vraiment poche.
Own: Diner / Hurricane
Looking for : JunkYard / Who Dunnit / Black Knight 2000 / Black Rose
