Triste!
I admit that I don't stop in and drop $$$ at AM2000 very often these days, but it's nice having it there when I'm in the area. I'll definitely make a point of stopping by soon and playing a few games

Yes, it's not downtown anymore, but I believe it's in a good location for the long run. It's fairly close to Centropolis, which has a nice nightlife for all ages. The area north is also expanding rapidly, with condos going up, and much of the land being owned by SmartCentres I believe.

And it can't be a coincidence that it opened right next to...

Allow me to disagree on the location. This is a pedestrian dead-zone. They can only attract people with a car that already intended to go there. It is also too far from Centropolis for these people to stumble upon it by accident.

They should have opened within the Centropolis. There are multiple spots available but I guess the rent was too expensive and the arcade in the Colossus was too close. The arcade in the Putting Edge is so poorly maintained, I doubt it would have been a competitor.

I went there Thursday evening. The parking was overflowing because the cafe next door was full with a young crowd.
The arcade was not busy, but there were still more patrons than I expected.
Most pinballs are 75c a play or $2 for 3 plays. The other pinballs did not have a price card so I could not tell.
You must buy tokens, minimum $2. It is always 25c per token no matter how many you buy.
You can get extra balls and free games with high score. I even got a free game with a match.

I'm not in the area often myself but I did go to the flea market once across the street behind sami fruits. There was a small food court place that was overrun by teens eating lunch and hanging out. All of them walked there, presumably from the school to the south. Like I said there's not much there now, but the area is growing quickly.
