Alien cabinets are "particle board"??? Not plywood?
:FP:
If so that is a big minus for me...

The top is. I cann't say for certain the sides are. We saw chipping on the top by the glass and it was particle board. Like I mentioned in my write up, there are other items of concern as well. I'd wait and see how they hold up in the wild before throwing money down on it.

A bit of an odd Pinfest for me this year. We still came back super full, but most of the pins were for others and not me. I did get a pair of Future Spas that will be transformed into one really nice example. In fact, if I could find a transformer and boards, I think there could be two nice examples.
What was unusual this year was the rest of my haul... two 1950's Seeburg jukes! I've been wanting one of these for a while and two examples caught my eye. A total project HF100-G (think Happy Days) and a gorgeous KD200 which was pulled out of an estate where it lived for the last 49 years. It's beautiful!

I don't know the first thing about repairing jukes, but I suspect that 100G is about to educate me.
If anyone here has intimate knowledge of these, don't be shy to announce yourself. Fair warning tough... you're probably gonna end up being my new best friend :D

That big juke that was near the door was pretty cool looking too.

Read all about the experiences of my group at the Comfort Suites this year:

Great event. Horrible hotel. Avoid at all costs.

What a shitstorm.

To be honest, I have been lucky so far. I have been going to Allentown since 2005 (apart from last year) and I have heard bad stories. I used to stay at the HoJo, until some colleagues said there were bedbugs. We switched to Comfort Suites after that. My only complaint was the attitude of the barmaid with a broomstick up her ass. But this year, at 180$ a night, Comfort Suites was off-limits.

The Ramada was fine. Not the greatest, and it showed signs of wear and tear, but overall it was clean, beds were comfy and staff was nice. And at 70$ a night, the price was right.

But thanks for the tips Cooke. Comfort Suites will remain off my list.
