They do great stuff there! I don't think they have all of the seminars, but what they do post is quite the bounty. In case they don't post ours, I'll be sure to have someone else record it.

Painted a wall and then Rob, Chris, and I hung the posters and set up some games whilst moving things here, there, and everywhere.

All the work they've put into this place is coming g to fruitation in a month or so....

Hard day today... Woke up happy, picking up a grail vid Saturday. Been searching for one for 25 years. But I get a message this morning... I got bullied out of the deal by a buyer offering to buy multiple machines. If mine wasn't in the lot, no deal. Seller caved.

I am pissed. But not surprised. I need to stick to my golden rules. Pick up immediately, and never buy from a specific area...

Yeah, well, they can choke on it. I am old school. A given word is a bonding contract. I know... I am fighting a losing battle by remaiining the good guy, and all hobbies involving money are what they are today. But still isn't right.

I am almost tempted to do the same. Put it all up for sale and sell to the highest bidder. Cash out and call it quits. But I promised to not do that. I will live with that bitter taste.

And the worst thing? The fucking machine is still advertised on Facebook. Jesus....

Ok. I move on... whatever. Lol

Been really busy as of late. New teaching job has me doing a lot. MUCH less than in the past, but nevertheless it is still a shock to start university classes at 51. Lol

My son is doing great studying electro-mechanics in the same school I teach at. He is now interested in pinball, but on a function/repair aspect. Lol

I registered Emma in college last week. Visual arts. She is very talented.

Meghan is finishing up elementary school. Damn. No more babies... they are all growing up.

Peoject-wise, I am starting to get ahead. Moving along with Cait's World Series. But everything I touch something, it breaks. Lol. So, lots of parts on order. To be expected on a 92-year-old machine.

Working on Chris Silver's and Goldmeister's multigames. Big builds.

Azatotht's Farfalla is near done. Shopped out. Just figuring out a bug with outline flippers not activating in gameplay.

Other machines I am also working in are playfield swaps for HS, Xenon, and repairs on an OXO, and Laserball. I haven't touched my own games in a while. Defender needs to have board work completed, Gimme A Break needs tuning, Slugfest needs connector work, Diamond Lady... Arena... Big Game... sigh. Lol. Why do I have games again? Lol

Well, at least I will have all summer to work on crap. I want to post on projects but I find it eats in my repair time. Maybe a summary later.

Btw... anyone have a Dolly Parton pin for sale? Lol

I continued my work on the Arrangeball arduino conversion. It’s a slow process to re-wire everything. Also started fixing Cait’s Japanese shooting range cork gun. It needs a lot of TLC. May start to tackle the Glory Ball Arrangeball today so I can figure out what parts I need to get. Likely bulbs and capacitors. I already have the wood repair items on hand.

Knowing how legendary Gottlieb's cheapness was, I was quite surprised to find 18 bulbs/sockets just to light up 6 inserts on a Night Moves cocktail.

Almost have all parts in hands to start building my Storm 23 Lightning Retro Pin upgrade.

Could not find an already built board so I decided to go forward and assemble it myself.

Have the WAV trigger board and the Arduino in hands already, waiting for the RPU board to arrive any day now.

The coding is done in C++ so it's not too bad to modify. Already did modify a few things and had a friend with the board test it, easy enough.

Will start a project thread once I get on it.

Finally... I get to breathe a bit. I was supposed to finish teaching on June 16th. Ended up getting extended to June 30th as other teachers called off.

So... time to get crap done. Lol. I have had a patch of my yard on which nothing ever grows. It is always shaded. So, I rented a skid loader, and ordered 7 tons of rock. Played it all out and compacted it to make a nice pad for a new shed. I also ordered 85 2x2' paving stones. Just received them this morning. Gonna put those down.

More planning for the summer. Gonna enjoy freeplay night at the Ottawa arcade next Wednesday. Gonna deliver arcade parts to Toeckeder. Then on 18th I am driving to Guelph to go play and fix games at Guard's, and play a Pinball For Change tournament the next day.

Also leaving on the 25th for Spain. My wife likes to spend her birthday far away. Lol

But next on agenda, on top of finishing projects, clean the gameroom and shop. It's a mess....

Going to my hometown for a few days then back home to relax. Might get a new pin in, perfect timing!

Finally got my games set up from Pinfest [once again said I was going to open and shop/fix one at a time but couldn't look at them folded up anymore] and now just puttering on little things on them. Broke the black ball on the shooter rod for Corvette during the hauling so I put on a generic red Stern one I had here, I like it better. It was pointed out to me that my Getaway had the gear shifter in upside down so thats now put in correctly.
Going to bring it Thursday to the Law Enforcement Torch Run we're doing this Thursday for the Ontario Special Olympic Summer games,....figure if there was ever a game a bunch of cops could get into......

Lots has happened in these last 2 days. I decided to organize a trip to London/Guelph/Brantford/Toronto for multiple reasons.

1st was to spend some time with friends. Spent an amazing few hours at Guard's place, fixing stuff and chewing the fat. I also visited Brewmanager's place to participate in his Pingolf tournament, but I unfortunately didn't stay long. More on that later.

I also helped Cait out and picked up a pre-war pin for her, and I had a cabinet for the museum. Sorry Phil.... I tried multiple ways to see if I could fit a Toobin vid, but didn't have room.

But... one odd reason why I went was that.... I needed closure on my old work life. My career change last August was a bit abrupt. I still had questions on if I did the right move. Having summer off, I had the opportunity to answer those questions.

First off, I do miss most of my coworkers, but when standing in front of the head office one last time this morning, I felt like I didn't belong there. Plus, sleeping alone in a hotel room, and eating alone at a restaurant reminded me that I hated that loneliness. And driving back this afternoon, I had time to absorb it all and ponder on it.

I don't have to be alone anymore, nor pressured. That life is done. Moving on.

But I was a bit emotionally confused entering Walt's place. The cut in my mind was done. I need to look forward now and enjoy life more.

Oh... and pigs have flown. My favorite pin of all time is no longer an old pin.... I played Godzilla and was amazed. I may have to sell 5-6 pins now. Lol

Thank you so much Ian! I'm at a cottage, but when I'm home I will finish getting that pre-war all set up and I will share pictures here.
I am happy you have discovered the joy of godzilla, but I have to ask are we talking Sega or stern?
Either way I think it's definitely worth it to consolidate few old pins to have some fun on a Godzilla!
